What s the chances of Prime Dempsey Koing Louis early? I think that's the only way Jack Defeats Louis, the longer the fight the better for the Bomber imo. Percentage wise of the mauler getting Joe out fast?
I think it's a realistic possibility. Dempsey had light feet and great power, whereas Louis has somewhat static feet and an average chin at best. It's easily within the reach of Dempsey to blow that chin to bits. The fly in the ointment is that Louis had fast, accurate and hard hands himself, and that Dempsey coming to him might be exactly what he'd want.
He's got a great chance imo, for about 5 rounds. After that, if Joe's still there, then it starts to go against Jack.
Yeah that's about the size of it I reckon. Louis is technically more solid and a better performer down the line, whereas Dempsey is very dangerous early on.
Joe has to play a game of chess if he wants to win and be very careful. Not a chess game like against Schmelling. If Joe goes down early, then it's over. Because Dempsey is no Braddock. 55/45 for Joe Louis.
Joe seemed vulnerable in the early rounds, he was kd several times before the 5 th round. Of course,apart from Schmeling he always went on win. That's why if Jack does hurt him early then he has to make sure he's not surviving.
I think he gets Louis out of there inside 3/4 rounds. Totally agree that the longer the fight goes the better Joe's chances. Jack doesn't allow Louis to get into the fight.imo
Dempsey had the power and the tenacity to do the job if Joe gets caught off guard early. And in truth, Louis DID get In trouble in the early rounds a few times in his career . Overall I would favor the Bomber to win but a Dempsey victory isn’t out of the question.
Louis knocks out Dempsey every time. Louis is an entirely different monster than Harry Wills, who Dempsey avoided like the plague
