I'm surprised Joyce is not rated higher than Wilder
Joyce has 2 wins over 2 fighters rated above Wilder in your rating system above though do get that the win over Dubois is one that looks better over time and not so much at the time

That is true, but it is post Wladimir and Wilder hasn't been as effective since then either really, losing to Zhang in a similar way

Wardley doesn't make the list, he was outclassed against dubois and has too few quality wins before that. He can come back though. Miller was only ever good as a ped user. Sanchez and ajagba etc lack quality wins.

In general I ranked them according to estimated prime capabilities and a bit of longevity (chisora mostly) then quality wins and losses that show the ceiling to make deciding easier.

Put together that means joshua and wilder are rather high on the list. H2h they would drop. But i do assume prime wilder beats prime parker though probably not prime zhang but we have seen too little of zhang to rank him much higher than here.

Kabayel is below Zhang because zhang has the monster wins against joyce and should have a win against hrgovic. Kabayel beat zhang at 40 or something so his estimated prime should be at least as good as his joyce/hrgovic Version, which is a beast only lacking in stamina.

Kabayel could be lower because he lacks a few more good wins, but he also doesn't have the losses the lower ranked fighters have. As it is now I rate him higher than those below him.

I find it very hard to rank 11-15 but i am okay with this order. Whyte had a pretty strong phase, wonder if he was clean. Not always at least.

 

It's hard to make a top 15 since there haven't been 15 HW world champions in the post K2 era.
I can really only rate the top 5 as the rest just haven't done enough at the world title level to consider yet.

2) Tyson Fury (beat Wilder x2, draw Wilder, loss Usyk x2)
3) Daniel Dubois (beat Joshua, beat Wardley, loss Usyk x2)
4) Anthony Joshua (beat Ruiz, loss Usyk x2, loss Dubois, loss Ruiz) *ducked Fury/Wilder for years
5) Deontay Wilder (loss Fury x2, draw Fury)

Overall only Usyk and Fury have been of any interest post the K2 era.
I'm really hopeful that Moses Itauma pans out, otherwise HW looks terrible post Usyk.

 

When I first read what you wrote, I thought that it showed that there has been dominant champions, but thought about it a bit more and when you consider the belt holders and interim champions there are quite a few -

And yet he signed contracts to fight both of them and Wilder admitted that he ducked him in 2019.

I am not convinced that Fury/Joshua
happens this year

Fury I think has had a few times where he has postponed etc. Often before his bigger fights when he is the A side
(I don't feel either is above the other here at this point)
Klitschko 2 fight was delayed I think on a few occasions and then Fury decided he wasn't fighting
The immediate Wilder rematch didn't happen and Fury fought a couple of tune ups
Wilder 3, I think there were some delays but could be wrong
Usyk, he needed a tune up and fought Chisora, then decided against Usyk and fought Ngannou, then the date was changed, then there was another delay as I recall

So not convinced it will happen this year

I think alot could also depend on how Joshua looks ie the time i felt Fury was serious in offering Joshua the fight was when Joshua was coming straight off his 2nd defeat to Usyk, and I seem to recall Fury saying something along the lines of you should be fighting fit and ok after that sparring session with Usyk (which was a tough fight) and giving a short deadline to sign for the fight.

If Joshua doesn't look good, gets wobbled and struggles through a decision, I think then that there may be more chance the fight happens this year (still not convinced), but feel that if Joshua looks powerful and destructive that it may be delayed a bit more.
That is only a thought

Personally I would favour Fury and am a far bigger supporter of Fury than Joshua.
Never been a fan of Joshua but do like to remain balanced and often don't get alot of the criticism as I feel he has been great for British boxing and looked to be involved in alot of big fights

I would pick Fury, I would favour Fury but I am not entirely convinced this fight happens this year and providing neither lose the warm up, would think that if it doesn't happen this year would more likely be due to Fury, not that I think anyone would blame him (or Joshua) if he got a better offer ie like world title chance

Kabayel is now WBC champion, but I don't think that would happen this year with Fury

Fury's whole career from 2015 consists of long stretches of inactivity, retirements, neverending tune up fights and from time to time fights against someone worthy, if he sees a benefit in it.

To be fair, I don't really care about this fight. Both are shot and would lose to most of the top guys.

I would imagine risk/reward would play greater part in their decisions than it had previously, though I do rate Joshua for taking a run of facing from early 2017 to end of 2020
