Just came in to post the same. Not a good sight at the end, he looks completely done now and borderline unwell. Using your head as your defence would never end well.

Been saying all week that his balance, coordination and distance management had looked shocking in the training clips he’d posted with Sugar Hill. Even the capoeira stuff looked like someone with special needs. Very sad that nobody has looked out for him.

Its really sad that no one cares enough about Joe to tell him its time to hang them up, its beyond over for him.

    100% mate.
With his style, it was always going to catch up with him like this.
    Very sad to watch.

Slightly related, after the main event on this card, Del Boy stormed the ring to face off with Murat Gassiev, chasing what he probably sees as the low hanging fruit to a world title and of course, to stay relevant.

Almost at a point where I feel like starting a petition to force him to retire.

Joyce is big enough to do some high level security/bodyguarding jobs if he still needs the cash.

The fight game is brutal. I hope he can call it quits.

Would it be too much to expect some bod from the BB of C to step in, after all the C stands for “Control!”
Surprised that commentator, Clark was surprised at the ending. Poor Joe was obviously badly hurt and confused from the 3-4 punch volley.
So glad he didn’t get the call to face Gassiev.

Don’t you need to be really sharp and alert for that though? At least with high level close protection security.

Punditry is definitely off the menu for Joe though. The guy would just sit there in silence with a deadpan expression and then stutter his way through a meaningless statement.

Oh lord no. Although imagine the fun if Del won it and decided to take Zuffa's money for a voluntary...

Maybe they could just stick him in seaside arcades instead of a punch machine.

Not a good look and sad end for a fighter who is without doubt washed up. Needs looked after, should not be allowed back in the ring.

Exactly mate. When I first saw the thread I actually thought he’d booked the Gassiev fight, then found out he hadn’t, so only watched the replay.

Problem with Joe is there’s still money to be made as a heavyweight, even if it’s just on the European circuit, and he’ll have people in his ear telling him one good win and he’s back in the mix.

But hopefully he retires, because as you said, he looked totally out of sorts at the end there. In his prime he could just soak it up and ride it out, the Juggernaut he was, but that version has long since gone.

At least he went out on his shield over the weekend, unlike McGregor.
