Joyce and Taylor are great examples like you said.

Not as modern but Riddick Bowe as well.

Your argument is a revisionistic cope. "Dubois would have certainly lost to Hrgovic without the rough tactics", "AJ was shot even though he was 34, looked better than ever, on a 4 win streak". And even if Miller has not yet officially beat a big name, the result says he was Ruiz's equal, and most observers had Miller a fairly clear winner. And Miller has no losses other than Dubois either.

Rico's performance was good but it was highly dependent on factors which will not apply when he enters the ring next time. We have seen the same story before with Ngannou.

Fighting Parker made little sense when Dubois was in line to fight Usyk anyway, which is what happened. Dubois is better than Parker because he performed better against all of the mutual opponents, has better wins, stronger opponents, fewer losses, a serious KO threat and more accomplishment as a 2x titlist at 28.

Hrgovic doesn't lose controversially to Parker, he beats him

AJ doesn't lose to Parker (let alone by demolition), he beats him

Wardley doesn't get smashed up by Parker, he stops him

Miller is a 50-50 with Parker; if Parker doesn't hurt him he gets bullied as he did vs Whyte and Chisora 1

I thought they were just rumours. I've not heard Taylor or anyone who knows him come out and say he had a drink problem.

A duck is a duck no matter how you try to dress it up. They were scheduled and signed to fight.

Taking on Usyk instead of Joey 11 is not really a duck.

Yes, it is when you're scheduled to fight him.

Also a tad ironic you're trying the whole Joey 11 when Dubios was stopped faster in 3 fights

Joyce seems to be the best pick right now. Also Kovalev after Ward.

A shoutout to Lucian Bute after the Froch KO

Fighting the champ instead of a bum you've signed to fight is never a duck.

It was a duck because he didn't sign to fight Usyk until after he chickened out of his signed fight with Parker.

The reason being his team obviously wasn't confident they could beat him.

I would bet the house on Dubois flatlining Rico.

You must not enjoy having a house then. If Rico can outbox Usyk he dances circles around the likes of Dubios

I never claimed that mate. I'm a fan, but Parker clearly has limits like most heavyweights.

And I think the point you're missing here is skills pay the bills. Dubios looks great against guys who'll stand and trade, whereas Rico doesn't do that.
