The reason being Usyk is a much bigger fight than Parker, as well as a much better fighter. And even though Dubois lost to Usyk again, it paid off for him because he beat yet another Parker conqueror and now he is a titlist again.

None of that changes the fact Dubios was too scared to fight Parker and quit twice against Usyk.

Even Witherspoon has a better performance against Usyk than Dubios did.

Dubois has fought six or seven opponents who are better than Parker, and opted for Usyk over Parker as his next fight. If Joey 11 makes himself relevant again I'm sure Dubois will happily give him a pasting.

Witherspoon did not do as well as Dubois, in either fight. Chazz wouldn't have won once in 100 fights with Usyk. And Chazz did nothing in his career to compare to Dubois anyway.

Broner I think. I remember how barren that early 2010s scene was. Mayweather was stinking the place out, the Pacquiao fight wasn't happening, and Tim Bradley and Robert Guerrero were in The Ring's top 10 P4P. It was a wasteland. Suddenly Broner emerged; he was entertaining as hell, knew how to sell fights, looked great against the likes of DeMarco and Rees, and had the world at his feet. He looked like he could breathe a whole new lease of life into American boxing, but looked awful against Malignaggi, as he had already started partying hard and not training seriously by then.

Even though he started drinking heavily, he was still able to win world titles, was one of the few to put Porter down, and was still only 24 when he lost to Maidana, which ultimately derailed his career and was the beginning of the end. If he had been focussed, left his ego at the door and didn't go near the demon drink, who knows how high his ceiling could have been. Crazy to think he's younger than Usyk, Fury and Crawford given how washed up he is.

Good call. He's not done yet but his career was certainly derailed in what seemed an instant!
Michael Katsidis career went south pretty quick, just as he looked the goods.

Do you actually genuinely believe Dubois was "scared"?

He'd get knocked out by amateurs with 5 fights these days. Actually he'd get knocked out by guys with no fights.

Yes. He pulled out of a fight he agreed to because he wasn't confident he'd win.

Otherwise he would have honored his agreement and fought.

    Wow lol

Firstly he claimed he was ill, now be consistent as me and you both gave @catchwtboxing barrels for making claims against Itauma without proof

Now whilst there's always the possibility he wasn't sick, it's far more likely there was politics at play and a far more lucrative deal was on offer to dodge this fight and go straight to Uysk

If that scenario was the case, so many people would have stood to profit more so the decision will have been heavily influenced by surrounding teams

I mean we can call it a duck, I wouldn't really argue that part if that's the case
A fininacal duck for sure but scared...

Scared is a laughable claim when you consider who Dubois has actually stepped in the ring with

A few fighters included that beat Parker

We know you don't care for Dubois but cmon

If he was sick, why didn't he reschedule? Instead, he was magically well enough to cash out against Usyk instead.

Itauma is a bit different because he never actually signed to fight Gassiev, he simply picked a different opponent instead. Had this been the case for Dubios v Parker then I wouldn't blame him for it, but it's not. They signed to fight.

You can dress it how you like, but in my view it was a clear duck. Either him or his team saw something they didn't like and it scared them enough to run from the fight.

And sure, Dubios faced a couple of guys that beat Parker, but I don't buy into triangle theory and the vast majority of Dubios's opponents tend to complement his style by being there to hit. That's a big reason I think that Rico clowns him too.

Because like I said if he wasn't sick it's highly likely the Uysk fight was on the table with far more financial upside

Thats why he probably didn't look to reschedule

And I'm not really referencing who won what fight and triangle theories, 5he point is if he wasn't scared of those guys he ain't gonna be scared of Parker

I'm not defending the whole debacle but to say he was scared is complete nonsense as there is nothing to back that up with

He ducked the fight he agreed to and refused to reschedule. It's not nonsense to deduce it was because he wasn't confident enough that he'd win it.

Hence why I think he was scared. You can disagree of course, but to me actions speak louder than words

EDIT: additionally, the winner of that fight was next in line to fight Usyk anyway. So I'm not sure why you're acting like he was forced to abandon it to fight Usyk again.
