Usyk has always shown respect for past champions, as well as his opponents, which is also why he's highly regarded. I think Wilder is the first choice for his final fight, but they should reach an agreement during negotiations, they failed to do so some time ago. Fury has always said he wants a third fight with Usyk, but the Englishman should fight AJ first. We'll see what happens.

 

Wasn't that before Chisora? I think Usyk made it understood he was fighting the winner. Wilder v Chisora was announced shortly after Usyk v Wilder fell through. I kind of got that feeling Usyk's team orchestrated that. Remember Usyk wanted the Chisora rematch.

 

He's not going out as well aa I would have liked him too. Zuffa probably has a massive farewell paycheck for him against Wilder.Too good to refuse.

Let's see Usyk/Wilder. Fury can position himself for a title shot, WBC or WBA, if he beats AJ.

most likely outcome is a boring 12-0 Usyk points victory. Wilder is too tough and durable for Usyk to KO or stop.

 

The negotiations between Usyk and Wilder took place shortly before the Wilder-Chisora fight was announced, yes. Usyk has expressed himself several times in the past, and in different ways, about future fights, both in terms of the number of fights and opponents (some time ago he mentioned Alex Pereira, then said he still had three more fights to go, one of which would be against Fury, and other things too). Personally I never give these things any importance, I read rumors every day but we know the fights are official when the contract is signed. Usyk's friend and business partner Lapin also expressed his opinion on Wilder, and I think they might reach an agreement this time, but we'll see.
