Papot is a good fighter with a lot of power, would have beaten Paro if it had occurred anywhere else.

I wasn't expecting a great show from Eubank-Papot, but, thanks in part to the four knockdowns, it was a entertainment fight. The scorecards were fair, with what he did in the championship rounds, the Frenchman easily earned the victory.

    Round 1 Papot 10-9

Close opener, with neither man doing much. A ton of probing and feinting. But Papot was just a little busier early on, while Eubank largely missing with his wild swings.

    Round 1 Papot 10-9
    Round 2 Papot 10-8

Papot overshoots early and walks into a vicious counter right and takes it well. Harlem squaring up a lot lunging in with rights, but Papot evading most of them. Papot lands a counter left that knocks Harlem for a loop. Harlem wants to take the play away, goes rushing in and walks right into a nasty counter left hand that puts him down hard. He get up on wobbly legs. Papot goes for the kill, stiffens his les again.

    Round 2 Papot 10-8
    Round 3 Papot 10-9

Harlem looking jittery as all hell, trying to walk the ultra elusive Papot down, which is unnatural for him. Papot landed at least 4 counter or looping lefts, Harlem missing with almost everything except for a counter left hook. Adam Smith as always acting like because Harlem didn't get dropped again, he won the round. He didn't come close!

    Round 4 Papot 10-9

Papot taking him to slick school, Harlem is very herky jerky with a lot of nervous energy, looks like he's doing a lot, but is landing next to nothing. Papot is timing him repeatedly as he's leaping in. The only occasional success that Harlem is having is the counter left hook.

Harlem is giving the impression that he's doing a lot more than he actually is. Barry Jones as per always overstating everything that he does and giving him credit for pressure, yet he's rarely landing a goddamn thing! Papot is laying back and walking him into left after left. While Harlem is stumbling forward and missing by a mile.

    Round 5 Papot 10-9
    Round 6 Eubank 10-9

Harlem comes out fast, bum rushing Papot now, not necessarily landing much, but when he gets inside, he roughs him up, has Papot loing a little flustered. Harlem lands a solid counter left hook. Then a few more ambushes and shoeshines. Papot settles down and lands about 4 counter lefts, tightens the round up, but not enough.

    Round 7 Eubank 10-8

Eubank applying intense pressure now, which is causing Papot to overcommit to shots, trying to keeping him off of him, which is giving Harlem plenty of opportunities to land his sweeping counter left hook. He finally lands one that catches Papot when he was of balance and puts him down. Papot gets up clear headed, he looks fine. Harlem going all out, they clash heads.

Good bounce back round from David, Harlem back to looking nervous, isn't jabbing and is lunging into counter lefts. A few of them quite heavy. Harlem tries to rough him up later, but again just eats several counters.

Harlem out very frantic, charging in and missing with wild swinging shots. Papot has also upped his aggression, and is sitting down on his looping lefts, catches Eubank with several of them flush on the chin. The manic flurries are the definition of ineffective aggression from Harlem.
