Agit Kabayel is the number 1 heavyweight in the world right now

Best resume besides for Usyk and Usyk is clearly ducking him

Kabayel can't be considered champion imo until he does it in the ring

I hope he fights the winner of Dubois vs Wardley 2

That fight will be for the vacant heavyweight title in my mind

He beat Chisora, Sanchez and Zhang in good fashion, which is impressive. He's undefeated. 39 year old Usyk didn't think he passed risk-reward. Far from unbeatable but he's a quality operator.

the asshat ref robbed Kabayel of a proper finish. he was beating up Knyba and WAS going to knock him out that round or the next, but the ref had to jump in with that bs early hometown stoppage.

in reality, Kabayel had one bad round. One. Not exactly a big deal.

he’s good. I rate him. I’d bet on him in unifications against Dubois and Gassiev.

Ituama though…. I’ve drank the koolaid there. I think Ituama flatlines the entire division.

I would agree. But, like Ortiz, he's also become very overrated

He was impressive against Sanchez, Makhmudov and Zhang, but I don't like his inactivity.

He should have a fight scheduled by now. He's not getting any younger, so why waste his remaining prime?

Like many other boxers who are neither British nor American, he's poorly managed and promoted. Old Fish Eyes has done an excellent job for Dubois and other UK boxers, but hasn't done much for Kabayel and other non-Brits.

With the division now wide open with Usyk dropping the Belts were about to see exactly how good Kabayel really is ! Kabayel got the Belt by being elevated because the Champion despite agreeing to fight him dropped the Belt to avoid him. It’s not Kabayel’s fault and not the way he would have liked to have become Champion but it is what it is and there are certainly some big fights out here for him to prove himself. Good luck to him .

It's sociopathic to want Usyk fight more than once a year and not fight the same guys over and over?
A lot of the irritation with Usyk is a well deserved response to his actions.

Frankly if you think nobody can beat an Usyk that is heavily declined and nearly 40 years old that doesn't reflect well on Kabayel or the division as a whole.

I should certainly hope Itauma and others could beat the Usyk of the Rico fight. If not we have dark times ahead

I think i became sociopathic, too.

I was a big fan of usyk's career. He was amazing at cruiser and quickly became my favorite heavyweight. But just as I used to cheer for fury in the wilder fights and then be disappointed by all his shenanigans, the same happened with Usyk.

If you are a fan of boxing and not a fanboy of a certain Fighter or a few, you can see things differently

Yeah, he looks like a pretty ordinary heavyweight contender to me. I really don't get what all they hype is about

He's a skilled pressure fighter who focuses on body attacks and has a great gas tank. At the least, he's a bit unique.

Also his style would make for some ballsy fights. Put him against Dubois or Wardley, what's he going to do? Yep, he's going to stand right in front of them and try to punch them in the liver until they fall over. That could create some fireworks.

I said I didn't believe that Usyk was heavily declined and that Rico was just a bad stylistic match up for him before and after the fight. We have dark times ahead!

Am I thrilled that Usyk has been mired in a series of rematches? Of course not! But the boxing Gods are responsible for that, not Usyk. Which P4P boxers are fighting multiple times a year aside from Inoue? Most of them fight 2 times max. Usyk is in a heavily protected division with a ton of politics involved, usually with assholes pushing for said rematches, so he gets caught up in that nonsense, and it's not really his fault. He's cleaned out the division's top stars, now he's contemplating retirement, so he's weighing out how and against who he wants to end his career on. Agit is big with the hardcores, but is virtually unknown to mainstream audiences. Itauma is in a similar boat and hasn't earned the shot. Sure, Rico hasn't either, but he has a ton of followers on Instagram and is a decent sized star in Europe. Now add in Turki pushing for the match and throwing 100 MILLION DOLLARS at Usyk. He'd be a certifiable LUNATIC to turn it down! Most of the posters on here would massacre the populations of several countries for that kind of money, so cut the bull****!

So of course all of the scumbags who are long time denigrators and detractors of Usyk are going to be the loudest voices in the room. Sure, maybe there's a few who are honest about it and genuinely annoyed and that's fine. But the integrity of the sport! For 100 million dollars, integrity can go **** itself! He's not ducking anyone, Boxing is a business at the end of the day and Usyk is a prize fighter looking for the biggest prize.

Lol Usyk has fought and beat way better fighters than Kabayel consistently. So there's definitely no ducking

Fury 1 Joshua 1, Fury 2, Breidis, Gassiev , Joshua 2, Dubois 2, Dubois 1, Huck, Glowacki, Bellew, Chisora, Joyce, Hunter, Verhonen

Yet he's ducking Agit flipping Kabayel Lol!

His two best wins are Chisora and a 41 year old Zhang. Far from the best resume besides Usyk.

I am extremely happy about the rematches. Usyk has a thin heavyweight resume, like most guys coming up from a different division, but he has a very unique achievement to hang his hat on in that he beat the #2, #3, and #4 heavyweights of his day twice each while remaining undefeated, thus showing that he was head and shoulders above the others in his era. There is no, "different night different fight" argument. And if you look at who he has his six big victories against, it is the CLEAR #2, #3, and #4 of the era. Just look at my thread of the subject where the forum has voted:

    https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...-years-as-they-would-appear-right-now.751015/

No one else has done this. No one. Marciano came close, but would have had to have given Moore a rematch, which was perhaps merited as the Mongoose put the Rock on the canvas. Ali lost to Frazier. Louis split with Scheming. Lewis lost to inferior fighters. Holmes didn't give rematches, even on split or majority decisions when a significant part of the viewers thought the other guy won. Holy split with Bowe and lost to Lewis twice. Tyson lost to Holy and Lewis...

On and on. Usyk is in a sense, literally the most dominant champ ever. And he did it in 8 heavyweight fights.

As for Rico...I am not going to keep reprinting it, but I am on record telling everyone that it would be a tough fight for Usyk, and I told everyone exactly why. The things that everyone were discussing the day after the fight, I was telling everyone the day before. So the whole world must forgive me if I am not upset about an Usyk stoppage victory that was harder than they expected it would be.
