Correct, if he had a nickname at all, it was " The Onion Farmer " , Fogger while on the subject, lots of posters have " Shotgun " as a nickname for Monzon, I personally don't recognise this ? there was a light middleweight named Oscar Alvarado , that carried that moniker, also Olivares and " El Paus " again not in my recollection, is my memory starting to fade...

Hi Mike. I don’t ever remember Monzon being called Shotgun during the time he was fighting. You mention Oscar Albarado, he happens to be on the list that I made for this thread. I don’t remember Oscar being called just Shotgun. I always remember it in connection with where he came from in Texas, he was the Uvalde Shotgun. Although that could just be what Jimmy Lennon Sr. called him when he was announcing him at the Olympic Auditorium.
