Stephen Fulton, Liam Wilson bout touted as WBA superfeatherweight title eliminator

In the wake of Charlo's visa cancellation, Stephen Fulton and Liam Wilson will now be fighting for the right to challenge recently crowned WBA 130lb champion Anthony Cacace for his title. I mean, the card won't feel the same now that a decorated undefeated world level fighter in Jermall Charlo is no longer available, but at the same time there were no belts or an eliminator on the line for Charlo and Mazoudier, so this WBA elimination fight is better than no world championship or eliminator fight from Charlo and Mazoudier.

Wilson doesn't deserve another crack at a world title. Albeit a lesser version.

 

Hayato Tsutsumi still deserves his shot at Cacace's WBA belt.

 

He should have won title vs Navarette. Ref went out of his way to rescue the Mexican fighter (who is one of boxing’s best). Not sure how he doesn’t deserve a shot?

 

i like liam wilson but i gotta say man he landed a bus driver uppercut on navarrete while his hand was on the floor, that was a humongous punch that really hurt. however i thought the stoppage was a bit soft when vaquero finally got him

Agreed and funny you mention that scales and I recall No Limit and that flog, Peter Badel, had a big drama when Dylan Bigg's manager brought a set of scales to the weighin for Dylan's bout with Nikita.
If only Liam's management team were smart to do the same.
