Wilder has a terrible resume and generally lost whenever he stepped up so I don't see that as a big plus for Fury.

Thomas win over a prime Witherspoon is better than the Wilder win and arguably better than an old Wlad

And you are welcome to that opinion. I think history will see it that way.

This is why the Rico fight should be welcomed. It would be a big money fight with lots of eyes on it and Kabayel would be keeping active for once. The general consensus seems to be that Kabayel would win handily but im not so sure. He hasn't proven that he can beat a big active athletic heavyweight just that he can chop down slow oak trees very well. It might be that he struggles with super heavyweights who have good movement, conditioning and overall skill/dynamics that the likes of Zhang and Makhmudov just don't possess. Kabayel just beat a no hoper inside of a couple of rounds. There's zero reason for him not to fight again this year unless he just wants to sit on the belt like an egg and wait for a unification/big money fight fight to come his way.

Lol. Ituama has swerved Gassiev. It is a matter or record. Now he's going to let Gassiev-Itauma be made.
As I said in the opening statement, this no longer has anything to do with Usyk. You are making a giant canard. Usyk is off to have his last dance with Wilder. This thread is about what Kabayel has to do with his big chance.

Stop it with this Gassiev stuff man. No one is ducking him that's ridiculous. All of the top heavyweights are licking their chops wanting to fight him. It's practically a free belt.

He did. It's not ridiculous, it is history. I will continue to pass it on for those that do not know.

The belt could have been Ituama's already. He passed up his chance.

Gassiev did not have a belt when that fight was discussed

Thomas overall career was too inconsistent

Funny how Kabayel himself doesn't have a problem with Usyk ''ducking'' him and respects him a great deal and understands that Usyk is old, on the way out, has achieved everything there is to achieve amateur and pro multiple times over and literally has nothing left to prove. In fact, he said that maybe he'll do the same himself if and when he's in the same situation

And then when you factor in the impeccable, honourable and utterly fearless way Usyk went about doing it all throughout his prime and many years after which these clowns are trying to memory hole and ignore the context of why that affords him a free pass in certain scenarios when others who didn't do it like he did aren't afforded them

Whilst also simultaneously ignoring the fact that not a single one of their current favs are doing it the way Usyk did or are expected to and few in history did or would either

He's just expected to fight the much bigger, much younger and more powerful prime Kabayel in his backyard Germany at 39-40 y/o when long past his prime even though he was the then three-belt champion/former 2 x undisputed at HW alone, P4P#2/former #1, the A -side, and has forged a career putting himself at great disadvantages fighting in his opponent's backyards often and at HW whilst simultaneously also giving away huge physical advantages and a youth advantage in all his HW title fights and Kabayel himself has never fought any of his opponent's in their backyards sans a couple of tomato cans in his first 9 fights

Keep putting yourself at great disadvantage time and time again Usyk even when 39-40 y/o and long past your best and after having forged a career of doing so when very few others champs in the history of the sport did it the way you did it, as in giving away not just one disadvantage but numerous simultaneously again and again at HW

This is expected of no other fighter except Usyk. Hmm..

If Usyk were to lose to a younger man now he would do so at an older age than everyone on his own resume, the oldest being 38 y/o and the oldest world class one being 36 if you don't count Rico as world class who was 37

Even if you count Rico the oldest world class opponent Usyk has ever fought was 37 and he was 39 when he fought them and Rico had just turned 37 a month earlier

Rico 37 but Usyk was 39
Belly 36 for the rematch but Usyk was 37
    Chisora 36

    Bellew 35
Belly first fight 35 but Usyk was 37

Every other world class opponent he fought was 33 or younger

Usyk is 39 soon to turn 40, Belly and Chisora were 35/36 and 36 when he beat them albeit Chisora was 2 months away from turning 37

So by the time Usyk fights next he will be 3 years older than ''old'' Chisora was when he fought him

And almost 4 years older than Belly was for Usyk II

Usyk never did the senior citizen bashing thing but the clowns are desperate to see him on the receiving end of elder abuse after giving them everything they wanted, asked for, or could expect from a fighter all throughout his prime

The comparison wasn't Wilder vs Thomas

It was a comparative between Fury and Thomas

    That's all great and all

Just Usyk can no longer be considered the best heavyweight in the world or the heavyweight champion

Everyone is allowed to get old

Just call it what it is

Usyk doesn't want to fight Kabayel because it's too dangerous

It doesn't mean that Usyk wasn't a great champion

If Usyk had beat Kabayel easily. Which he probably would have..

Kabayel would have been just dismissed as a non-titlist overrated nobody from the overcritical most followed division of heavyweight fanboys and casuals

Usyk didn't have much to gain from fighting Kabayel.

Strong heavyweight contenders who never go on to win a world title don't tend to be spoken of highly AFTER they get beat in world title fights - like Luis Ortiz, Kubrat Pulev, Vyacheslav Glazkov, Dillian Whyte.
