I don’t rate Gassiev but I do appreciate any effort to unify the belts.

It's crazy the hate Gassiev gets on this forum.

I'd love it if he knocked out Kabayel out and unified (and I think he can). The haters would be so upset

At HW, he has literally just beaten a 45 year old Pulev, for a fake title. In no way in any shape or form he should be a heavyweight champion!!!

But, yes he had a decent run at CW.

 

It's not slander. Jesus how hard is it for you people to understand? Most of us are or at the very least have been big fans of the guy. His CW run was epic. But he's really been a disappointment post Usyk with the injuries, inactivity and subpar performances. His most noteworthy wins since are 45 year old Pulev, Kadiru and he lost to Wallin. a belt happened to land on his lap and people are critical because he hasn't done anything to deserve it and his first defense was hot garbage.

 

if he takes on AK, the slander better stop

 

It's not slander[2]. If he fights and beats Kabayel of course he'll get credit. That doesn't make the critique of the last 8 years of his career any less valid.

 

Gassiev scored a fantastic highlight reel beautiful KO of (44 yo* regular titlist) Pulev.. The fight didn't even go halfway. He did his job in brutal fashion.

 

How often you're mentioning Wallin etc certainly doesn't seem like a fan.

If you don't rate his performances at HW that's fine, but to constantly, repetitively feel the need to talk and criticize him sounds like a hater to me.

 

This is Boxrecing. The fight went almost 6 rounds and it was very competitive while it lasted. Go back and watch it. a true top HW would destroy this current version of Pulev with no difficulty whatsoever. And Pulev won that "title" from a 40 year old Manuel Charr of all people. It should also speak volumes that old Pulev still showcased much more resistance than the Kadiru who the Gassiev sycophants were all defending as a replacement opponent.

 

It's relevant because it very strongly suggests that he isn't a top fighter anymore. When you and the others stop tripping over yourselves to defend the last 8 years of Gassievs so-far disappointing HW run I'll stop. Until then. No.
