Maybe Netflix runs with the idea and spins it into some Down and Out in Beverly Hills type arc. Tyson gives a tramp 50p, changes his life, then six episodes later he’s living with the Furys and teaching Big John humility.
I know I will be in the very small minority here but I have no interest in watching Tyson Fury boxing, I haven't for years and the longer his career goes on the less I care....
Going by Tysons Instagram posts the fight isn’t even going to be broadcast live and will just be clipped for the next series of his Netflix show. The fight is very lame but that is even lamer.
I'm with you. No idea why anybody would watch this crap. But surley you watched the Usyk fights? I didn't watch his last fight and have even less interesting in this. I'll watch AJ v fury because why not but if something else landed on that weekend whenever it is, id probaly do that instead
Maybe he’ll surprise everyone and donate the rumoured $5–10 million a season he’s getting from Netflix. They built the last series around marrying off his 16-year-old daughter, and this one now looks like it’s being built around his “philanthropy” in Thailand and another Big John reunion arc. At this stage Tyson isn’t fighting credible opponents, he’s casting plot devices. Wach is effectively reduced to being a paid extra, the same way the Kardashians use births, breakups and marriages. And how the **** did Netflix go from Breaking Bad, Ozark and Stranger Things to basically Keeping Up with Kim and Co? I’m sure Kim will eventually pass the bar exam though.
Yeah I watched the Usyk fights and Wilder 1&2 and the Klitscko one but the rest have been meh and I don't enjoy the circus he brings with him, although I know that this is what brings in the casuals!
Just had a quick look and the tickets haven’t exactly flown for the fight. Place is very small and about 1/3 of the tickets at least still available.
Don’t knock the hustle. As Toney once said, “We Be Crooks!” Guaranteed the WBC see more in sanctioning fees out of this than Father Ray’s Foundation ever does.
I really thought something might change and they’d end up broadcasting this fight live but it doesn’t look like it’s happening. Hopefully some little Thai guy in the crowd has a steady hand and streams it.
Watched some of the press conference. Just Fury’s team taking it in turns to big up how great Tyson is for raising loot for Thai orphans and Tyson repeatedly saying how big and dangerous Wach is. Highlight was Tyson saying Wach would easily KO “Mr Pringles” that AJ is fighting.
Oh, who cares? Sparring is training, not competition, and the most dull subject in the sport. You can tell how dull something is when even Bellew doesn't like having an opinion on it. "Sparring stays in the gym," etc.
