Tyson Fury not interested in AJ

Fury is the only one with anything to lose in the AJ fight. He beats him and we all knew for a while now that AJ was never that good anyway. He gets beat, and his already wafer thin resume looks absolutely abysmal. Personally I don’t think he’ll be able resist the money or the attention it garners.

 

I am so sick of this guy. I'm only interested in seeing him fight... all the bull**** outside of the ring has bored me for years now. I once found his shtick entertaining until I realised what a fraud he was.

This'll no doubt be because Joshua refused to bow down to him at ringside and contribute to The Tyson Fury show. Joshua has never been interested in that nonsense. It's clear to me that Joshua has always wanted the fight, but rather than make a load of noise about it, he's more interested in signing contracts and actually getting it done. For some reason or another, Fury is ****-scared of AJ, which is why he's always been so obsessed with him. Which is weird to me as I think Fury beats him, but maybe he knows something I don't.

 

I don't think Fury is scared of AJ but I do think he is petrified of losing to him

After all the talk over the years, it would be a very tough pill to swallow

He didn’t handle the loss to Usyk very well at all, years on he’s still convinced he didn’t get beat, twice. A loss to AJ sends him off the rails.

Everyone talks about the weak mentality of AJ, Fury is the one with it all to lose. He took that Usyk fight because 1. He didn’t think he could get hurt, 2. He thought the size would be a huge factor 3. He got 9 figures.

AJ is so much more risk. He likely knows he doesn’t have the power to stop AJ like a Dubois, he knows AJ whacks hard enough to hurt him, does he have the legs to dance around AJ for 12 anymore without getting wet?

I’ve never been more sure that now is the completely wrong time for Fury to step in with AJ, he’s left it far too late. All the ducking over the past decade is gonna come back to haunt him if he finally signs it.

If Fury can’t hurt AJ, he will be demolished. His already thin resume will be left in tatters. AJs lost to 3 guys already, I don’t think it would damage him as much as it would damage Fury losing.

 

This fight only mattered when it was for all the belts. That ship sailed years ago. It means absolutely nothing now other than a cash grab.

He's just making sure he gets the biggest Scooby snack he can get for fighting him.

 

If Fury throws and lands a looping right hand and it lands flush on AJ, I have a feeling that things get wobbly pretty quickly. AJ can hurt Fury too believe that, but after how we've seen AJ go jello legs multiple times you better believe Fury can hurt him.

 

Why do we care if boxers at the top level have losses? If you fight the best, you're likely to lose some.

 

I doubt he would be fighting Dubois
That is not a match I have seen him look to pursue. Not that I would know of course

It's a shame it didn't happen when they both signed for it years ago

I think Fury can hurt Joshua
I think Fury has the better chance of it happening as he knows Joshua can hurt him and I think would keep safe, whereas Joshua seems to go to war when hurt

 

This. That's always how i've seen things with Fury, he's worried he gets stiffed on the cards - or even worse starched like Ngannou (which is possible given his punch resistance these days).

Fury doesn't need money, and he certainly doesn't want a defeat from Joshua on his legacy.

 

That's what I meant to be honest, haha. Boxers aren't scared of any man, until of course they step in the ring with them. But that's what I find weird. That shows he doesn't have full belief he can beat him, and I can't understand why. He's faced a way heavier puncher than him in a trilogy... and has always proven he can get up and recover after getting knocked down. And he's a better boxer than him, skill-wise. I honestly don't see what he has to fear. But maybe he knows he wouldn't be able to cope just in case he does lose. Which shows he is not a true man (as we've already seen with the way he handled the Usyk losses). True men accept defeat when there is no other option.

Yeah, they're both Frank Warren's fighters, and I doubt Warren would see much sense in that for Dubois. I think Dubois is his adopted son or something.
