Put the car accident aside. Even when he was fit he would only fight once every year and a half. He then lost to Crawford and took 3 years off. Now he’s coming back to fight a nobody for no title.

This guy could have been such a highly ranked fighter if he put the slightest bit of effort into his career.

Spence was highly ranked by both the general public and by his own peers and was a boxing "org" (PBC's) flagship fighter. Even after a humbling loss and multiple long layoffs he still has maintained an extremely large fanbase. I would say his pauses and issues have left a lot on the table true, but he has still had the kinda career and POP most fighters dream of. I wouldn't call his career a waste

He preserved his health. He wasn't on Crawfords level. Imagine all the punishment he would have taken with all those extra training camps and fights. He's lucky.

He won't be come Saturday night.

Spence never was into boxing that much, he pretty much just did it as a job

He wasn't super active in his prime but you can't put the car accident aside. Did you see the footage? He literally flew out the car. That **** changes you forever and I really think he only took the Crawford fight because it was so lucrative.

Dude is lucky to be alive and in one piece, making 25 mil on top of that is a huge cherry. Whatever he makes from Tszyu will just add to that, but he needs to hang them up.

Meh, he usually fought twice a year, meaning he missed out on a positional four or five fights; I doubt those would have been that detrimental to his well being.
He spent his best years inactive and it did not extend his career one bit. He should have stayed retired after the Crawford beating.

Spence was rated in the top 2 at WW for 7 years.

What does "he could have been such a highly ranked fighter" even mean?

Spence will be elected to the IBHOF.

He didn't even train at his own gym from home. He had to go train in public gyms to be around people for motivation.

I don't think he's a bad guy, he's just a bad driver who made bad decisions.

He does not look the same at all. Shouldn't even be boxing. Glass eyes, blank stare..awful

But heck, I hope he socks Tsyyu in the face a couple of times.

Tell you what, him even going to Australia where American Fighters don't usually even dare to go..I'll give him props to doing that.

I'm boycotting the fight. Literally gave my ringside ticket away.

    Boxing's a sham.

What’s wrong with going to Australia? When was the last time a foreign fighter didn’t get a fair shake in Australia?
