What boxers have a better resume than Holyfield in all of HW history?

Don't be biased and criticize only Holyfield, because it's about victories over former, current, and future lineal HW champions.
If you count the current lineal champions, then Patterson and Frazier fall to Ali; Lewis lost Holyfield and Tyson, Louis lost Baer, Sharkey, Schmelling, Carnera and Walcott.

Biased? You had Holyfield with the most so he was the obvious example to my point. Without looking too hard Ali had 3. Louis 1, Lewis 2, Foreman 2. Holyfield goes from being above the entitre field, to being above only Louis.

Of course context is everything when determining how good their wins were over ex lineals.

It's my mistake that I didn't emphasize that these are former, present, and future lineal champions. In the future, I will be as precise as possible when expressing myself, because it is better and more practical than assuming that the members will understand what I meant.
I really didn't mean to "levitate" by context :)

But again, Tyson was well beyond his prime, Douglas was a fat ****, and he lost to Lewis, so...

So Holyfield rates higher than Muhammad Ali and Joe Louis solely based on wins over guys who at one point in time were lineal champions ?

    No. Not at all.
I just presented statistics for the number of former, current, and future lineal champions defeated.

Résumé is about who you stepped into the ring against. That's the résumé first and foremost - then the wins, losses and the historical context of who you faced and what you achieved is applied to separate tiers of greatness.

If Douglas was fat, then Dempsey was ring rusty and softened by celebrity, Braddock was light and had bad hands, Joe Louis was old and past prime, Charles was light and possibly in early stages of his disease, Walcott was old with a spotty record, Moore was old and a true LHW, Ingo was one-handed, Patterson was small and frightened, Liston was old and had a shoulder hanging on by mere fibres, Ali was ring-rusted having been in exile, Frazier was never the same post FOTC, Foreman was drugged, fought a stupid game plan and hadn't fought enough rounds, Ali was old and ready for the scrap heap, Spinks was too inexperienced and on drugs, Ali was too old and should've been protected from himself, Holmes was old and complacent, couldn't get his shots off the same anymore, Spinks had bad knees and was frightened, Mike was spending his nights debating world affairs with the Tokyo night demons of the sheets, Douglas ate too much cake, Evan tried to Mano-e-mano too much, Bowe was frightened for his wife after Fan Man got rushed within inches of his life, Evan's heart was doing its best attempt to jump out of his chest whilst he was showing mysterious patterns of additional muscle plus hair loss, Foreman got really lucky and tricked his way into landing that right hand, Briggs really lost to Big George, Lennox got lucky in landing on Briggs who was busy practicing Jamaican accents for films he was about to star in - Duran got unlucky cos he sharted when he thought that he only farted so when Ray hit him to the body, he felt the tell-tale trickle and called No Mas so he could spare his blushes on the global stage.

If Tyson was well beyond his prime, what the hell was Evan after the wars and health issues that he had? Who was the favourite going into the fight? Was Buster not lineal going into the fight with Evan - did he not just completely dominate Mike?

You can't be responsible for your opponent coming into the fight with great shape, no injuries or performing well - all you can do is make sure that you take care of business.

Usyk has beaten a faded and mental-health history Fury, a straight lines moving, stiff AJ who tried to box with a better boxer and a Dubois who has demonstrated an ability to freeze in the ring on numerous occasions, with questions over his mental resilience - the Rico fight is as bad as the Ngannou fight for Fury.

Usyk is a great fighter - his résumé at HW is nowhere near as good as his advocates suggest - nowhere near and certainly not as wide and as various styled as Evan's - 3 round robins with Bowe alone are hard to beat and that first version of Bowe doesn't lose to anybody that Usyk has beaten at HW; In fact, he probably ruins those versions of AJ, Fury and Dubois.

Ali, Louis and Lewis are all unquestionably better.

Frazier, Holmes, Wlad and Liston are arguable.

Highest his resume goes is 3rd, worst is 8th.

    I'd put him 4th personally.

Holyfield was past prime when fighting Tyson himself plus he was a huge underdog. It's still a big win.

And if Holyfield was a steroid cheat, Tyson was too.

Plus Holyfield is 4 years older than Tyson.

Could you please define what you mean by "better resume"? Presumably it is one of the following:

    1. Best set of opponents regardless of result (the actual definition of resume).

    2. Best set of wins, ignorning fights he didn't win.

    3. Best overall career ecord, I.e full context of career comparisons.

    4. Something else - if so, please define.

    Thank you.

Yes of course. But then it seems that I don't know what a resume is.

If this is the true definition of a resume, then Derek Chisora has if not the best, then one of the top 3 resumes from HW today.

I consider this a resume. If it's an error - then it's an error:

I wouldn't call it an error, different people have different interpretations (I think the literal interpretation is opponents regardless of result, but a lot of people don't mean that when they say resume).

Thank you for confirming, I recommend referrring to as win resume to avoid ambiguity. I'll give my thoughts if I get time later.
