Who was greater? SRL 147 or Monzon 160

He didnt defeat many greats. Don Lalonde wasnt great and only counted as one champion who on top of that, was weight drained at 168

and Hagler was through by then

Not many beat 4 all time greats in one career.

Hagler still had a decent amount left, he didn’t look obviously washed going into the fight based on his recent form.

Leonard beating Hagler (even a washed up version) is a myth. Here is the true verdict based upon points scored round by round, unless you find yourself agreeing with incompetent judges to satisfy you

When someone fights everyone around in their era, they’re most likely gonna lose fights.

Leonard did beat Hagler fair, it was close, but Hagler didn’t start fast enough, Leonard took too many of those early rounds.

He lost to Duran and Hearns 2 was a robbery, but like I said, if someone fights literally everyone in their era, they’re probably gonna lose fights, but Leonard did come out of that era with the best H2H record.

the video shows leonard was outpointed. not only that, but according to each frame that was slowed,lt wasnt close as the TRUE shows Leonard actually well behind, even further behind than I had him (116 - 113)

Not to take anything away from Leonard. Do I think he's talented, worthy? Yes, although nowhere near what Monzon was able to accomplish. Too much in Monzon's favor

 

I would go with Monzon but we are splitting hairs. I wouldn’t argue with anyone who sees it differently.

 

Leonard. Much higher level of competition for Leonard . Not sure Monzon could reach that extra level for a Hearns or Duran or Hagler. It’s guesswork, but if Leonard had fought a Bouttier, aged Moyer, or Bogs he’d be panned today as a hopeless cherry picker. We laud Monzon for his accomplishments. Seems uneven and unfair.

Not sure what your reply earlier citing LaLonde and 168 titles was all about , as to accomplishments, Leonard won titles in 5 weight divisions, seems to me more than anything Monzon achieved no ! your fast becoming a poster that is entrenched in their beliefs, and will not countenance a opposing view, which is a shame because you know your boxing, but as always I respect your views and opinions, and support you right to air them.
