Cruiserweight and Heavyweight thread.

IBA Pro 20 is scheduled for August 14, Ice Sports Palace, Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia. Nothing on BoxRec yet, but I imagine there will be some heavyweights and/or cruiserweights on the card, there usually is.

Gassiev wants to fight again in the early fall, maybe on IBA Pro 22 in October, and they are currently seeking an opponent.

 

Chisora pushing to fight him. Kabayel would be ideal to at least getting the belts together.

First footage of Parker training since the defeat against Wardley. I reckon, should win a fight or two, he could get the Dubois fight.

And this Uzbek kid, Khalimjon Mamasoliev, seems very promising. Haven't seen him fight bu will definetly watch him against Kashinsky.

 

Aleksei Dronov is fighting Rydell Booker on August 15.

I would like to see him in with a better opponent than old Rydell, but at least he's staying active.

 

Doesn't look like he'll be on this card. But yeah he's associated with IBA, his pro debut in January was on a IBA card.

And he punched after a break and got DQ'd in a fight in February, and beat Kevin Martinez on in May (both on IBA cards but aren't his Boxrec record)

Itauma surely will challenge Gassiev for the title? Assuming he triumphs over Hrgovic.

 

Or Sanchez for vacant IBF?

I can see Gassiev ducking Itauma for Chisora.

Again, and again, and again...

It is HISTORY that Frank Warren threatened to sue to get Pulev for Ituama. They went ahead with Gassiev, who won the belt, and immediately offered Itauma a shot. Itauma and crew would not even answer the phone, and Gassiev's camp openly called him out multiple times.

Itauma may indeed prove to be the better man, but the history of who has ducked who so far is there on record.

 

I’d love to know what’s going on with him. Is he banned? If so for how long.
