"It's easier to fool people than it is to convince people that they have been fooled" - Mark Twain. For me it's undeniable that boxing is corrupt and fixed fights happen all the time. Now with legal gambling the pay offs are greater than ever before, but if you don't believe fights are fixed I doubt anything anyone says in a forum is likely to convince you otherwise.

He also had a heck of a lot to lose as he would be a laughing stock if he lost, so was cautious

I do think Prenga was told not to throw in R2. A crude slugger who hurt him every time he hit him suddenly decides to practise the art of the sweet science

Nor should we be convinced if you're offering zero evidence besides some vague "but the dude fought bad!" tripe.

Also the gambling angle doesn't work, either. Betting agencies are so good at their jobs now they know when suspicious levels of betting are occurring and will shut down taking wagers.

Finally, why do ya'll think all this can be kept under wraps? We had the most wealthy and powerful people on the planet all get exposed as pedophiles because people couldn't keep it under wraps. But ya'll are just absolutely positive that big time stars/promoters in boxing are paying off guys to take dives and everyone is keeping their mouths shut and no one is spilling the beans? Is anything real in ya'lls world anymore? Is the Earth actually flat? Is your mailman secretly a lizard person? None of this conspiracy bull**** used to be a thing until the internet and social media. Now every room temperature IQ halfwit gets convinced by a slightly smarter halfwit looking to make a buck that everything in the world is a sham. The NFL is scripted. The Illuminati are secretly trying to kill us all off. And birds aren't real! IYKYK!!!

You are that exact person Mark Twain is referring too. You're defensively trying to protect the sport...that has fooled you with many fixed fights

It's nothing to do with 'fighting bad'.

Betting agencies are corrupt as ****. I mentioned it in this thread that when Danny Green took on Paul Briggs sportsbet had 1st round betting into $1.10 for a first round knockout. Known that outlaw gangs in Australia cashed in on it. Look at the fight on YouTube. Didn't even last a minute. The NFL and the NBA are scripted as ****. Everyone knows this.

Around 2010, 2011 a whistle blower was going to go public about sportsbet being corrupt. It was on the news. He never had a chance. He was pushed from height off a balcony and died. It was mentioned before and after his death. It got covered up and now there's not even an article on the internet about it.

    Corrupt as ****.

There have been plenty of fixed fights in boxing, no doubt. Most of that was quite a bit in the past. Like I've explained in great detail, you don't need to risk your business, your career, and jail time telling a dude to take a dive when you can just cherry pick fights and shmooze judges to get the same results.

You've got people in this thread claiming dudes who got brutally knocked out were taking dives. Their evidence? Well, uh, he fought like ****!

And stop trying to align yourself with Mark Twain. That brilliant man would absolutely require you to have some actual real evidence.

Everyone with a room temperature IQ, sure.

Crazy that you show up in camp in the NFL and then they tell you that you gotta blow your knee out and that your career is over. Or that you've got to run a stupid slant pass on the goal-line against the Patriots instead of handing off to Lynch because the powers that be said the Pats and Brady need to win another SB. Amazing guys would go along with all that stuff and nobody would rat. Idiot.

The truly crazy part being you geniuses will sit here and claim everything on the planet is a work/rigged/scam/etc. and yet you still watch. L-O-L

You haven't explained anything? You've just ignored the counterargument. Here it is for you:
I'm not claiming boxers getting brutally knocked out are taking dives. I'm talking about Kovalev, who didn't get "brutally" knocked out by a much smaller Canelo, but pansied around a guy he dwarfed pitty pattying all night, for 11 rounds, but something you claim is because he "stacked the deck".

Again, I'm going to quote Mark Twain here for you, which is the only thing that matters : "It's easier to fool people than it is to convince people that they have been fooled"

You think that the largest criminal conspiracy in human history being revealed is reason for people to be less conspiratorial? How does that work?

It's also very odd to look at one of the most corrupt sports on the planet, so corrupt it was partly controlled by Al Capone and say that anyone who thinks fights are fixed are stupid lol. It seems like you're trying too hard to confirm your intelligence.

AJ's fight with Prenga was possibly the most blatantly, obviously fixed fights I have ever seen in my life. Prenga scored 3 knockdowns in Round 1, had AJ reeling on rubbery legs, and then he came out for Round 2 and literally just stopped throwing punches. Instead, he walked around the ring, slowly, making sure to stand right in front of AJ so he could be "knocked out". I actually don't mind the fact that the fight was fixed--boxing is a corrupt, violent, dirty sport, and that is what Iove about it. Fixed fights, low blows, brawls at press conferences, Don King. . .I am a Criminal Defense Attorney, and I am a very dark parson. I love violent, crazy stuff. But what I don't love is people lying up a storm pretending that AJ won that fight, and telling AJ he is fit to fight again. You see, putting someone in AJ's position back in the ring, that is how boxers get brain-damaged.
