So Keyshawn turns down $2M purse while Shakur shuts down any possibility of a Haney fight. Are these guys straight up ducking Haney or are the Haneys making negotiations difficult?

People can hate on the Haneys but in this case they are not the ones to blame for this circus show. Keyshawn is flat out demanding more money than what he truly deserves. How can a fighter who is barely out of prospect level and hasn't beaten anyone of note have any right to ask for more than what's being offered? As for Shakur even though he's a weight class below Haney I don't see why he can't make any accommodations by fighting at Haney's weight for his title. If he was someone who truly wanted that smoke he would have set aside his ego and just fight at the champs terms.

This is exactly what's wrong with boxing now. Guys who are overly demanding, money hungry, and hesitant to take any forms of risks prevent the best fights from happening. And yet these guys are more than happy to fight it out on social media.

Quite embarrassing. An out of prime Loma took the Haney fight and beat him.

But I understand ducking Haney, he gives everyone a tough fight. If you don't have the power to hurt/knock him down a few times he will win a decision.

An old past prime Loma with a ton of wear and tear on his body fought a 20lb heavier, just under 6'' shorter reach Haney, with a 36 hour weigh in, in his backyard with a home ref and 3 home judges with no catchweight or rehydration clause in what would've literally been Loma's 9th weight class w/o being a weight bully in his 1st one had he turned pro at the same age as Haney

And even though Haney knew the vast majority of fans scored the fight for Loma and only 16k of 117k poll had Haney winning and that the deck would be heavily stacked in his favour yet again for the rematch and it would've been in his country with a home ref and 3 home judges he ducked the rematch

Haney admitting that robberies are commonplace in the US and that it's neither fare or a level playing field if the judges aren't from neutral countries or if there isn't at least some kind of more equal representation

And this was for a fight vs someone he was way bigger than (Kambosos) who Haney's assistant trainer took to a SD despite being old, past his prime, and only having fought once in 3.5 years, not at all in 15 months, and being roughly the same size as Kambosos

    Devin Haney

If “neutral” judges are not possible, Haney says his team will push to have at least one American judge scoring the fight.

“Here’s how I look at it,” Haney told Cigar Talk. “Robberies happen in the US. A lot of robberies. How many robberies? It’s too many to count. Robberies happen all over no matter where the fight is.

“Me and my team are doing the best to make sure that there’s fair judging, neutral judges, or if it’s not neutral judges, it’s gonna be a US judge and an Australian judge. We gon’ make an even playing field. That was all I demanded. I just want fair judges. I wanted nothing else.”

    In Australia

Haney vs Kambosos I neutral ref and 3 neutral judges

Haney vs Kambosos II neutral ref and 3 neutral judges

    In the US

Loma vs Haney US ref and 3 US judges

Loma vs GRJ US ref and 3 US judges

Loma vs Teo US ref and 3 US judges

And if an old well past his best Loma can fight a way way bigger Haney in his backyard with a home ref and 3 home judges in a country which is notorious for robbing fighters from Loma's part of the world why can't Shakur who is much bigger than Loma fight a bigger Haney in their own country with home refs and judges for both where the chances of him getting robbed are way lower?

I don't actually blame Shakur for wanting a catchweight because Haney is a gigantic weight bully who has never beaten anyone his size and has forged a career telling his opponents they're ''too small'' even career 140 and 147 pounders for his debut at those weights or full weights but Shakur has said many times size don't matter, that he doesn't care if someone is 20lbs heavier, and he called out Inoue at 135

But the fans of these fighters hate Loma with a vengeance and call him a hype job when not a single one of the current favs are doing what Loma did routinely and freely or won't ever do once in their entire careers or even come close to doing it.

Haney hasn't ever beaten anyone his size for goodness sake with virtually every champ he's fought being way smaller than him

"I'm not no idiot. I don't [want to fight]... some [of] these guys that's way bigger than me".

These guys are embarrassing. Stevenson hasn't fought since January and he's just sitting around. At this rate, he won't fight until at least December.

Davis is getting chance at a title shot, a very winnable fight and he doesn't want it?

They absolutely are. Shakur keeps moving goalposts and Keyshawn rejected his biggest payday. You know its bad when Terrence Crawford (Shakur's best friend/mentor) is giving Haney props for wanting to fight everybody.

Shakur claims that he can only fight Haney if its at a catchweight of 144 and yet he says that he's willing to fight Conor Benn at 150 lb catchweight on Zuffa. This is clear as day that he's worried about Haney's chances if they were to meet at 147.

I mean, I understand. Fighting Haney sucks.

But it's lame. Keyshawn turned down a career high payday. And Shakur doesn't want to fight the one guy he really needs on his resume if he wants to be accepted as the best of his generation at his weight?

They are all ducking each other. It's more important to preserve that zero in the loss column than to risk putting it on the line. Haney even sued Ryan to get that loss scratched from his resume. All of them are pricing themselves out because none of them are big revenue generators. Haney and Shakur in contention for most boring champion award. Shakur says he's closed the door forever on a Haney fight and insists he'll never fight Keyshawn because of their friendship. I have no interest in seeing him fight ever again. Cowardly conduct.

Haney's only shot a $5 million+ payday is with Ryan. Otherwise, he slips into obscurity fighting overmatched opponents in one-sided decisions. Yawn.

Don´t care, neither man is even in the same division as Haney. Altho they should not be running their mouths.

Absolutely cannot stand that from those guys. Shakur doesn't want to fight Keyshawn and Hitchins because of his "friendship" with them but we've seen friends fighting each other in the past. It's just an excuse to not having to risk their 0 against each other. Foster and Teofimo have called out on that BS.

There's more behind the scenes that the public doesn't know. Yea, on the surface we can say Keyshawn is at fault because he's demanding a cut that the A side isn't willing to give him. There a couple things that I personally know just from my run ins with Shakur and Haney's camp over the course of the past couple years. I hope that certain things can be worked out, because the fighters themselves AREN'T THE PROBLEM. Haney is willing to fight both Keyshawn and/or Shakur......and they want to fight him, but their are others involved that the $$ has to make sense to as well, which is why Keyshawn wants to push the guarantee further north so that he isn't left with nickels and dimes.

They're all still rather young, so we can possibly still see one or both match ups down the road, but as politics have it......there are barriers keeping the fans from getting it currently. And because of legalities, neither party is going to name drop the other hands in the pot.

All 3 have other options that can satisfy the public for the time being. Hopefully we will see all in the ring at least one more time before the end of the calendar year.

Keyshawn should take off that BS “Businessman” nickname.

I think most people should be happy that Shakur vs Haney isn't happening, it could easily be the worst high-profile fight of the 21st century.

All these guys are delusional clowns and seem impossible to make deals with asking for ludicrous amounts of money.
