There’s nothing to be mad at. I just shared a few thoughts that came up to my mind. People rarely give thoughtful replies back on this forum anymore.

Really harsh to say that Spence wasn't good. The guy was considered arguably the best WW before Crawford trumped him. He was a terrific southpaw, physically strong, hard jab, great body puncher, great workrate, good puncher, and a solid technician. His resume wasn't anything groundbreaking but he was considered a top WW for good reasons. I think people were just waiting for the moment to kick the man while he's down after losing to Tszyu. No shame in losing to an ATG like Crawford and to Tszyu after a 3 year layoff.

But he didn't and what does this have to do with him not being the same after the accident

    Yeah, this thread is weird…

People “thought” he was good because he was a longstanding world champion who beat everyone who was put in front of him for years, until facing a generational talent at their peak - after a life threatening car crash…

People thought Errol Spence was good because he was very good and he proved it…

Spence pretty much cleared the top guys of the division apart from Crawford (and you could maybe argue Thurman). Of course he was held in high regard, even though his p4p ranking was too high imo.

The car crash is just an excuse if anything affected him it was being a weight bully sucking down to 147 for too long.

Spence was a good fighter, but he was not a Top 10 P4P fighter. He was very high on the P4P list at some point. ESPN had him as high as #4, which was crazy to me. Max Kellerman had him as high as #2. Of course, we know Kellerman is one of the worst at ranking fighters, but that's beside the point.

He was very overrated, but I don't think he was a bad fighter. He had an annoying style which bothered a lot of fighters. He was a southpaw who threw a lot of punches and use sneaky tie up tactics on the inside. He was annoy to fighters who didn't have good footwork.

At best, he was a Top 15 P4P talent, but definitely not top 10.

For years I insisted he was over-hyped. PBC fans made him into a boogeyman while he was knocking out stiffs and going life and death with Porter. One thing most fans never realized was how big he was for a WW. His walking around weight between fights was over 180 pounds. He was a weight bully, until he met Crawford who was the same size and walked around at the same weight. Crawford proved what can happen when a good but not great one-dimensional fighter meets a great fighter.

    Sorry Pimp but that's weak

The guy literally put other people's lives at risk
Took a chance that potentially could have had repercussions on families

There is literally no excuse for drink driving

I understand that but We're not here to talk morality there's the lounge for that. If people are saying ggg took something out of brook then without a doubt Spence near fatal car accident which was much worse than that clearly took something out of Spence.

I agree this isn't the topic subject, absolutely

But it read like you were vouching for his actions

Spence put together a better resume than Kostya Tszyu and never quit in a fight.
