Neither Wilder or Joshua has a chin that can be classed as good, were they both differ is that Wilder has proven he will not give in and would rather be brutally knocked out in a fight than be pulled out ! Another big difference is confidence, Wilder has it in abundance and truly believes he WILL knock every opponent out , Joshua on the other hand doubts himself in fights and it’s there for everybody to see with his forlorn look like in his ring walks for Ruiz 1 UsyK 1 Dubois fights. Could Joshua land and knock Wilder out,yes he probably could but Joshua would be a beaten fighter before a punch is thrown and that is why I have always said Wilder brutally stops Joshua early doors !
A stiff breeze could knock AJ down these days. He has zero punch resistance and zero defense and a limited offense. . .he should no longer be allowed to participate in professional boxing matches.
I didn't accuse you of being mad I asked you if me divulging the information about his toilet accident was the reason why you appear to me to be angry at me FTR, there was no leakage or spillage in the ring and I'm told he was able to salvage his trunks and that they were as good as new after a good spin in the wash But perhaps it was inappropriate of me to share that information on here about his accident and I should've kept it to myself. In my defence it was a fear based accident so I felt it was boxing related and therefore relevant But OK, let's keep it boxing and address the thread title ''Could Wilder chin Joshua now?'' Hmm.. let me think about that one.. Duh.. yeah of course he could. AJ just got dropped and almost KO'd in a round by a ''bum'' in many people's estimation. He could've KO'd any version of AJ if he caught him right just like AJ could KO any version of him if he did the same but AJ has fought the much better competition amateur and pro, a lot more punchers am and pro, and taken more risks and from much earlier on in his career than The Dosser did and, as said, that matters when judging their respective legacies and mandibular fortitude and it's always been relevant I was being sarcastic when I said Prenga would be an elite win for The Dosser. But the fact is, even if Prenga is as bad a you and others claim The Dosser forged the best part of a career feasting off fighters worse than him or on his level, like almost 30 of his fights and your description of Prenga and the smoke and mirrors re. his 20 KOs sounding impressive on paper until you factor in the level of opposition is also applicable to The Dosser and his career albeit obviously to a lesser extent but it is at the same stages of their careers and at least Prenga fought AJ in his 22nd fight which The Dosser never would've dared do in a million years
It's always a honour and a privilege to receive plaudits and an endorsement from one's peers but when those plaudits come from the mouth of a fellow elite of the elite poster, an OG in the game, and a fellow BN24 legend like the esteemed Bailey OBE it just takes it to a completely different level.
He can take an asswhoppin from Greedy Belly but stick him in with an elite puncher and he's getting sparked out. AJ recovered vs Wlad and, as said, he's fought a lot more punchers am and pro, fighters I believe would've sparked The Dosser
Too many people point to that Wlad right hand that Joshua took means Joshua can recover, that was a retired Wlad and that shot was not all that big. He didn't recover from anything significant.............we now have years of proof that he can't. He gets touched and starts smiling and grinning. He's like the chessire cat when he gets hurt. We also have years of proof that Wilder can in fact be beaten on and still ice you. And Joshua does not have the defense at this stage to avoid those goofy haymakers Wilder throws. Joshua could definitely stop Wilder if given the opportunity to beat on him, but Wilder is going to land first and he can't take what Wilder throws. 2026 versions of the two makes all the difference here
Wlad might have been old, past prime and inactive no disputing any of that but he was still very formidable, dangerous and extremely powerful and he is one of the greatest punchers in HW boxing history and it was most definitely a very hard shot Even in the round prior to the KD AJ stood up to some very big shots from Wlad and displayed heart Timestamped This content is protected Povetkin was another massive punching KO artist and he caught AJ with some big shots too and AJ knocked him out Got hurt by Whyte and showed heart to weather the storm before knocking him out Against the massive punching Dubois he displayed heart, took a real shellacking and kept getting up until he literally couldn't These are all legit KO artists and I believe they would've flattened The Dosser if they caught him clean and I would've picked them all to beat him sans Whyte and even he could of done so too if he caught him clean He got off the canvas a bunch of times vs Fat Andy and showed heart AJ got of the canvas x 2 and knocked out Prenga The smiling when hurt is corny but I think The Dosser is so dumb and delusional he believes his own hype and therefore doesn't overthink things or question himself as much as the more cerebral AJ does and it actually helps The Dosser in the ring Any version of AJ cracks any version of The Dosser flush with a huge right hand or left hook and The Dosser is getting stretched out and if he did somehow manage to clamber up in time he would be on spaghetti legs, eyes in separate orbit, and dribbling baba spittle all over thee canvas in no position to continue.
Wilder can chin anyone still. The problem now is making contact. In his 40s that reflex and accuracy is gone.
Indeed This is what he said when Wlad was the WBA, IBF and WBO unified king who hadn't lost in a 11 years, and had made 18 defences of his title (s) during his 9 year second reign and The Dosser held the WBC belt and had made a whopping 1 defence of it and had only beaten Stiverne and the mighty Eric Molina in title fights ''I’m sitting in the driver’s seat'' Deontay Wilder made clear that if he fights Wladimir Klitschko in a big heavyweight unification match next year, it will be on U.S. soil and not overseas where Klitschko has fought often. “I have the most prestigious belt in all of boxing,” Wilder said. “I have the goods. I have what he wants. Every fighter wants their name on the WBC belt. I have it, so right now I’m sitting in the driver’s seat. If he wants to fight, he’s definitely going to come here to America. That way when I take all the belts, it will be rightfully at home.”
