Does Usyk's last performance affects his ranking on an ATG heavyweights list?

I feel like him struggling against a kickboxer like rico verhoeven kinda ruined his reputation a bit. Don't get me wrong he is one of my favourite modern fighters and definitely a future HOF. however i gotta keep it real i can't imagine ali, holmes, foreman or tyson struggling against kickboxer in a boxing match. So how do you guys rank usyk overall based on his resume and skills? I noticed people are kinda divided on this question

 

Yeah but there is a big key difference you are ignoring. None of those guys are kickboxers all of them were serious boxers. Some of them were even champions or contenders. Rico was a nobody in a boxing world.

 

Except ngannou my bad. But still fury won that fight. He won barely but he still won.

 

Im actually an usyk fan, i think he is a great boxer. However his performance against rico was garbage. Boxing champions should never struggle in a boxing match against fighters from other combat sports.

 

Yeah by a very controversial bull**** stoppage. One of the worst stoppages i ever saw.

 

In my book he is a legend and will always be. Im not questioning his legendary status. Im just questioning if his legacy is a bit tarnished after this awful performance. Also i wanna know how do you guys feel about his heavyweight resume as a whole and his skillset. How does his resume compare against other heavyweight greats

 

No it was not more controversial. Fury won by close decision, while usyk won by awful premature stoppage. Before that stoppage rico was winning on points. Ngannou did nothing besides knockdowns fury won most of the rounds. Thats also not the topic. The topic is usyk and his legacy not fury. I also think fury is overrated but thats besides the point.

 

Sugar ray robinson never struggled against muay thai guy in a boxing fight. You guys are ignoring that point for some reason.
