Most pathetic title fights you've ever seen?

Parker vs cojanu, awful awful fight.

 

John Riel Casimero vs Guillermo Rigondeaux. One guy running while the other chasing and looking clueless. Just absolutely abysmal from start to finish.

 

Miguel Vazquez vs Mickey Bey.

 

This. Wlad fought like a coward.

 

Honeyghan vs Hatcher......people flew to Spain for that one , lasting only a few seconds

 

Hopkins vs. Hakkar

And when Calzaghe fought that guy Tocker.

 

Wlad Klit vs the lefty. It was either Chagaev or Ibrahimov, I forget which one.
Wlad kept slapping at the extended right hand of the south paw. I think Emmanuel Steward quit his team after this travesty

 

Carlos DeLeon vs Johnny Nelson. Mostly Nelson's fault. I remember after the Draw announcement, during the post fight interview, I'm sure it was Gary Newbon, Nelson said he'd like a rematch and was asked " What for"? Great.

 

It was Ibrahimov. It was pathedic.

 

Davaryll "Touch of Sleep" Williamson vs Chris Byrd. Looked like two pacifist thinking about fighting, but deciding no to.

 

Valuev vs Holyfield was one of the biggest cherry picks of the 2000s. Not only did they pick an easy opponent, they picked one that had maximum name recognition.
Holyfield was 46, had not fought in over a year, lost his last fight, and should have retired a decade prior to this. It was supposed to be an easy night for Valuev, but instead Holyfield danced circles around him for 12 rounds, and got robbed of a historic win.

 

As miserable as his fights like this were, they were also evidence of how insane his jab was… Looked like a straight right snapping heads back.

Wlad just didn’t have the mean-streak / confidence to step on it against defensive minded guys. I remember Manny screaming at him against Chambers.

 

It was quite effective and smart though. He neutralized Ibragimov's jab.
