Who's career changes drastically, with a more solid set of whiskers?

Wlad might have been the best ever if he'd had McCall's chin

Alot of people say this but in reality apart from Sanders who just blew him away was his chin really the issue on why he lost his other fights ?

Against Puritty he tired himself out against a very durable journeyman.

And again against Brewster he tired himself out going all out for 4 rounds against an iron chinned fighter.

The loss to Fury was a stylistic problem and due to Wladimir getting older not really a chin issue.

I don't really think Wladimir's chin let him down vs Joshua either the uppercut he took at the end was insane TBH.

So if you think about it except the Sanders loss his chin wasn't really the issue on why he lost his other fights.

Despite fans bringing up his chin all the time just something to think about.

Amir Khan...I don't think he had the worst chin but with an elite one? Sky's the limit...

Lennox Lewis with elite chin would be a case for rewriting the HW ATG list. Imagine Lewis’s career without a loss :)

    Yes and nay.

In hindsight, we would only ever say he was supposed to beat a McCall and Rahman anyway - so beating them first time wouldn't enhance his reputation or résumé significantly other than retiring undefeated, I suppose. Unless he could get in there with prime Bowe and fresher versions of Evan, there would always be those that question him - he would likely get accused of being untested as never did against a live, prime great fighter.

Here's a piece of mental gymnastics - if he never lost to McCall, does Manny spend the time to hone his craft and make him a more cerebral fighter?

The reality of the question is any of the elite fighters with a much better chin probably changes their mentality and the way that they fight in the ring. Who knows how many possible outcomes that materialises in when all is said and done?

Obvious choice but Thomas Hearns for me. Like it's already difficult enough to beat him even with his current attributes. Give him a granite chin and we're probably looking at a fighter nigh on unbeatable from 147 to 175 knocking out Duran, Barkley and outpointing Hagler and Leonard.
