Wlad only had one loss to Purity, not losses. He also wasn't even considered a major belt holder yet by a bunch of you.,

    Obviously aj vs Ruiz

Dude was built like a Greek statue and got smoked by an unranked obese cinderblock in the biggest upset of the year.

People were canceling their gym memberships all across the world, nothing will ever top that lmfaooo.

Aj was at the peak of his powers, he was absolutely in his physical and mental prime

I like how Rico is described as legendary in this poll but Ngannou isn't despite Ngannou being a much bigger name :risas3:

It also doesn't mention it being Verhoevens second pro boxing fight let alone in over a decade but you have no problem mentioning Spinks 8th fight or Rademachers pro debut.

Give it up. It's a case by case basis and both Fury and Usyk are 2 sides of the same coin embarrassing the sport of boxing by letting outsiders give them everything they can handle. This doesn't enhance the terrible performances by the others

Verhoeven is going to get annihilated by the next heavyweight with a pulse he faces. Except Gassiev. He can probably beat trash like that

Lol. The idea of introducing him as kickboxer was to dismiss his boxing experience. It is written that way to announce that he had virtually no in-ring boxing experience. There is only so much that can be written.

Ngannou is an MMA fighter. Grappling.

Don't use emoticons. This is very friendly advice--it makes you look stupid. And I don't mean that you are stupid, it is just lazy and a bad look.

Well, that’s somewhat true and I actually sparred Ruiz so I knew how good he was but he was brought in as an unknown late replacement opponent to look good against in AJ’s US debut. Ruiz was not “supposed to win”.

Fury was supposed to be the world’s best boxer and no matter how dangerous of a guy Ngannou is, it was his first boxing match. Fury underestimated Ngannou and almost lost. AJ showed how it was supposed to end when a novice boxer fights an elite boxer.

It’s all opinions but this is why I think these 2 are the most embarrassing performances.

True, Wlad never did the rematch, I meant more that Wlad redeemed himself with becoming a dominant champion afterwards.

AJ did win the rematch against Ruiz but Ruiz was never “supposed to win” in the first place.

Fury didn’t “lose” but his performance was horrible against an opponent that did his first boxing match.

Tyson quitting was embarrassing but Tyson was done with boxing and only showed up for a paycheck.

Wlad wasn’t in his prime yet and Tyson was way out of his prime but both AJ and Fury was in their prime when their fights happened, that’s why I think theirs are more embarrassing.

At least after people saw what a guy with Ruiz's physique could do, KOing AJ, Krispy Kreme donut sales went through the roof!

Fury vs Ngannou because he got dropped and probably shouldn't have got the decision, but the frontrunners here are Usyk vs Verhoeven and Fury vs Ngannou, they're both in a league of their own compared to the rest of the options.

The rest of them lost to boxers, or those who solely trained in the discipline of boxing, and had plenty of amateur or pro experience. Usyk and Fury both going to the trenches to beat fighters from completely different disciplines who had essentially no experience was laughable. It'll be a very long time before we see something that damaging at heavyweight again.

L.Spinks didn't "suck" he's a former Olympic gold medalist and after the Ali fight he beat the highly dangerous puncher Bernado Mercado who had stopped Berbick quicker than a prime Tyson did.

L.Spinks had alot of demons outside the ring and carried on fighting too long.

But his his swarming very high output style was perfect to catch a very fading Ali at that time who used to fight off the ropes alot during that time.

As for M.Spinks he's considered possibly a top 5 Light Heavyweight of all time and he was very credible as a Heavyweight.

He beat Holmes obviously but he also beat Cooney who was on a win streak and was heavily favoured to beat M.Spinks.

It's heavyweight boxing, anything can happen. Big guys inevitably hit hard, who would have thought...
For me, a knockdown can be dismissed through complacency, but being dropped and outboxed by an MMA fighter and gifted a decision probably takes the cake. Usyk and the Rico fight would be a close a second however his saving grace was he managed to pull off a late stoppage to save his blushes.

Prime Holyfield unable to come close to stopping 42 year old holmes an even losing 4 or 5 rounds against him was more embarrassing than been caught an badly hurt by cooper who could punch

Mike quit against the biggest man he ever fought. Quit in his corner like a female dog vs an absolute bum like McBride because he could not deal with McBride's combination of size and resistance with McBride refusing to be intimidated and allowing the bully to bully him and using his size to tire Mike out with lots of clinching and leaning on him.

Quit in his corner like a female dog like the classic bully and Mike was a filthy dirty fighter who'd previously quit due to the frustration of his intimidation tactics and power not working.

He actually tried to quit earlier in the fight after being manhandled and shoved down by McBride. Not even knocked down by a punch. Tried to quit as bum McBride was standing over him like a god. Shameful! Disgusting! Contemptible! Unforgivable!

The only 250lb + fighters Mike ever beat were bum Sammy Scarf who was stopped in 13 if his 14 losses and bum and geriatric basher Brian Nielsen whose grotesquely manufactured smoke and mirrors record was also likely greatly enhanced by lots of match fixing

    McBride 277 Loss
    Williams 265 Loss
    Nielsen 259 Win
    250 Scaff Win
    Lewis 249 Loss

Speaking of Lennox Lewis who was another filthy dirty fighter and bully like Mike, he 100% should have been DQ'd vs a smaller bum Mike Acey after cracking him with THREE full power bombs as he was down

Watch this it's absolutely despicable and as cowardly anything ever seen in a boxing ring and a true measure of the 'man' Lewis was.

To me this is more embarrassing than anything mentioned here, especially given Lewis' standing and how horrendously outgunned and overmatched Acey was

He not only cracked a downed hopelessly outgunned bum journeyman 3 times as he was completely defenseless he held their head in place with one hand in order to blind them to the cheap shots and line them up for them. As cowardly as cowardly gets

    This content is protected

Go watch Lewis' fight vs tomato can Greg Gorrell, poor Gorrell was also horrendously out of his depth and overmatched, and way smaller so much so it wasn't even remotely a fair fight but that big bully Lewis who was very often the much or bigger man and never much smaller held Gorrell's head down with his signature cheapshot move with his left hand so Gorrell was in no position to defend himself or see the cheap shot coming and cracked him full power with the right uppercut

Not to mention Lewis would've been KO'd by an ill and emaciated way way smaller Mavrovic if there was one more round. Mavrovic who worked in a chocolate factory by day and was already in the early stages of his debilitating muscle wasting illness when he fought Lewis had been knocked out x 2 in the 1st round in the amateurs when fully healthy. Lewis had to get up on his toes and run from a deathly ill Croatian leprechaun half his size in the final round just to save himself from getting knocked out and he breathed a huge sigh of relief as the decision was announced

But worst of all is Lewis getting one punch sparked out/iced x 2 in the midst of his prime by smaller or much smaller fighters. I'm struggling to think of another great that's ever happened to
