At no point in my post did I give my opinion in that post. So why don't you stop being a snide teenage girl and actually look at the facts.

And fyi, my opinion does matter more than those and especially yours. The era isn't over, and Dubois has only managed to do well when everyone else got old. If he's #4, it just means the era is worse than it was 5 years ago.

haha. James Douglas was knocked out by David Bey (making his debut). Knocked out by
Mike White (12-5-1), lost to Jesse Ferguson.. Drew with Steffan Tangsted. And had numerous Majority decisions against other low level fighters.

He was a 42-1 underdog vs Tyson for a reason!! That being he was a BUM!! Who had losses to unknown bums.

Douglas was CRAP. Poor fighter in a weak era.

Usyk would have won every minute of every round versus Douglas with ease.

Shows how overrated Tyson was that he was knocked out by such a rubbish fighter in Douglas.

    You’re either a troll or a simpleton.

Either way, you don’t get the time of someone knowledgeable.

No doubt you’re an ALT too.

    So move along.

    Lol!

A good, solid poll with multiple opinions that was voted on by a good segment is better than your opinion. Good luck to you.

He will cross eras. He won a title in Fury-Joshua-Wilder-Usyk era, so he is part of it.

I can only repeat--he's had as many fights as Usyk has had rounds.

"Tougher professional career" doesn't matter. Usyk has taken a lot more shots.

That's my opinion and I stick to the numbers.

I am sorry, the point is lost on me. What does Douglas have to do with Spinks?

    Sorry, legitimately not getting it.

If he merely came in a bit too heavy and underestimated Rico I think he'd fight on at a high level. Instead, he is probably retired and will at best take semi-exhibitional fights.

Again, people aren't all of a sudden saying that he is washed. His hardcore fans have been talking about his decline for years \. Those who recognized late may have the kind of misconception you are talking about.

Not my opinion, though. The actual rankings at the time are better than your collective opinion.

    Not really.

Look at Lewis for example who was a similar age to Usyk.

Lewis had a good performance vs Tyson but then in his last fight vs Vitali looked very sluggish because he came in at a career high weight.

Usyk also came in at a career high weight vs Rico and looked sluggish.

It's quite apparent Usyk underestimated Rico and he was too heavy and sluggish at the weight.

I'll quote you exactly what I said prior to the fight happening on the day of the fight page 1 for reference.

"Or maybe he's not in 100 percent shape and taking Rico a bit lightly ?

That is pretty heavy for Usyk I'm not gonna lie I think his heaviest recorded weight was 227."

"I'd be surprised aswell because Usyk is not Fury he don't allow himself to blow up in weight.

But 233 pounds does surprise me a little.

I know 6 or 7 pounds don't sound like much but it can make a major difference in terms of feeling more sluggish and being more fleshy around the midsection.

I wouldn't expect Rico to give Usyk any trouble what so ever but I've been shocked a few times in recent years."

The point is both Spinks and Douglas were underdogs right but in hindsight they probably should've been seen as considerably bigger threats is my point.

Like Fury/Ngannou it is a curiosity at best. Most great Boxing careers have these nights where they struggled unexpectedly. Styles make fights and other factors. We look at ATGs like theyre suppose to be invincible for some reason. Ali struggled with Spinks, Doug Jones, plus others.

Anyway I rate fighters career more by their total achievements more than their short comings.

Not in his professional career he hasn't taken more shots.

Overall if you're including his amateur career than yes.

But strictly in the professional game I think it's quite clear Rico has taken more damage.

Usyk also doing more rounds doesn't equal to him taking more shots.

For example look at his 12 round fight vs Gassiev that was a very one sided easy fight vs Usyk where he barely got hit.

Rico is known as a blood and guts warrior who's been floored multiple times.

I don't see it that way personally.

Dubois has come into his own when Joshua/Fury/Wilder are at the end of their careers he wasn't really a part of their era as such.

Joshua/Fury are both in their late 30s and Wilder in his 40s whilst Dubois in his 20s.

Dubois is more the new breed who have started to come into their own like Wardley, Sanchez, Itauma, etc.

Every fighter has at least ONE great performance in them.

Rico had his night. I doubt he would be able to repeat it.
