Oscar De La Hoya was overrated

Tito had proven Jr Middleweight power aswell and he moved up to Middleweight and stopped a Middleweight champion in 5 rounds.

Vargas hit harder than Tszyu at Jr Middleweight also.

Vargas coming into the ODLH fight had 22 wins and 20 stoppages and the only 2 fighters who went the distance with him were Wright, Quartey, who were never stopped in their career.

So how would Tszyu have been too strong for ODLH I'm confused ?

Not only is he a lesser puncher than the likes of Tito, Vargas.

His KO ratio isn't even that crazy 28 wins and 18 stoppages ?

 

Vargas was green as hell.

 

He wasn't ? Vargas had won 7 world title fight by that point and had shared the ring with 3 elite fighters Tito, Quartey, Wright.

How many world title fights has Tszyu won ?

And also what has this got to do with power ?

Vargas had a much higher KO ratio at Jr Middleweight than Tszyu.

And Tito showed power at Middleweight.

So why would Tszyu be too strong for ODLH ? He isn't an elite fighter and his stoppage ratio is modest.

 

Tszyu has more one punch power.

 

Tito was at welter when he fought DLH, Tszyu punches with his full weight.

 

Tito had some of his best wins at Jr Middleweight and his power carried up to Middleweight.

Tito and Vargas punch with full weight aswell ?

Tszyu is not an elite fighter and his KO ratio is much lower than Tito and Vargas.

There's no logic behind Tszyu being too strong for ODLH.

And theres no evidence that Tszyu hits harder than Tito & Vargas.

Expecially with a modest 18 stoppages in 28 wins.

De la Hoya got outboxed by Sturm. They gave him the win to set up the fight with Hopkins. Hopkins knocked his ass out with a body shot. De La Hoya was out of his depth.

By that time Oscar was late in his career . He had the Millions and was sleeping in silk sheets after a life of making weight in more than one division. He was past his prime and of course Big money makes you weak.
