Do people actually care, unless you would buy a ticket to watch at Wembley, who cares if it's in USA, watch it live or watch on Netflix the following morning, as soon as the fight finishes we all forget about it and move on with our lives like after every sporting event, is it a big deal where it happens?

I’d prefer it was in the UK as I’d rather watch it live at 10pm than 4am.

I don’t like watching a recording of sport when it isn’t live. I feel it loses something.

    I do, to an extent.

They are fleecing their fans by not having it in the UK. Pure greed

That said, I am not a big fan of either so I don’t have the same perspective

The fans always get fleeced in every sport, in football every match is behind a paywall and you need multiple subscriptions to be able to watch every game and ticket prices go up etc, the last 3 years loads of 'uk fights' have taken place in Saudi.

Fair point, but it's a weekend, surley you can watch it live?

Of course it sucks that it's not a Saturday night 10pm to watch with the whole family, maybe it's because it's 5 years too late i don't care as much, if it was 2021, both undefeated, closer to peak and all 4 belts on the line i would care more.

Personally, I’m more emotionally invested in Shannon Courtenay’s comeback and the potential Ebanie rematch than this farce. Sure, it’ll blow up once it’s announced and into the build-up. Fury and Fast-Car are great self-promoters, and AJ still has enough lemmings following him to give it traction.

Hate to say it, but if Bosh Jnr came out like he did against Babic and had a shoot-out, I’d fancy him to take out AJ, and potentially Fury too. The real fights are happening elsewhere now, which is a shame, because once upon a time this was the biggest fight in the sport with actual legacy attached to it.

Well I would have watched it had it been in the UK and shown at a reasonable time. Now I won't bother.

4 of Joshua's last 5 fights have been abroad but according to Hearn & Joshua this one HAS to be in the UK for the fans? Absolute bollocks.

The sooner the fight happens and is done with the better. Bored of it.

    I absolutely do care

I already detest what Zuffa appear to want to be and do and Turki just needs to jog along now
He was fun at first but his ego is ridiculous
Not one boxer likes him, they just gather round him to try and get the pay days

I wont be getting tickets regardless of the venue, but I'd much rather watch it at a reasonable hour.
The thing is though, having the two biggest British fighters of the modern era, finally going against each other after all that has gone on in their respective careers, two household names that everyone here knows, the atmosphere would be insane if it was at Wembley, and that definitely translates to those watching on TV. Just imagine the ring walks at Wembley! Madison Square Garden is not exactly a crap venue, but hosting two non-American fighters? It won't be great, and I don't care how many celebrities are ringside. 'Oh look it's Mel Gibson sat next to someone who plays for the Lakers' great!!

I would have been interested in the years 2018 - 2024 but not anymore, they're both done, both irritating in different ways although everything about Fury is pretty much unbearable now, at least AJ goes away for a bit whereas that ogre and his clan just seem to be everywhere.

I dont agree with Hearn ever but honestly its a ****ing travesty. He's right this time, Fury and AJ have brought the Heavyweight division back to Britain and that has been over the last 10 - 15 years. They have earned the right to have what will be the biggest all British Heavyweight fight ever but ffs The US is a joke.

I'd go along with this, and the casual in me will always watch it so I'll probably stay up (or set the alarm) given it's a free hit on Netflix.

Going to go against the grain though - as an event I don't really get the "stadium crowds" thing other than boasting for monwy like Froch does. A bear pit crowd in Manchester or the O2 (or MSG) would be a lot better for a fight like this. And we wouldn't get stuck with 10 minute ring walks round a football pitch. So a bit of me quite likes the history and dimensions of MSG anyway...

The rematch or trilogy will end up in Britain so not to worry.

They are going to rinse the public dry minimum twice but likely thrice. But I will not get fleeced.
