I understand he's probably not earned enough from the sport. But brain cells are more important in the long run.

No reason for him to ever even fight again...................

He's 1-5 in his last 6..............Hasn't even broken 16 wins and already has 5 losses, He has lost 1/3 of his professional fights, yeah he's officially a journeyman.

Someone around him needs to be brutally honest with him and tell him in no uncertain terms that he is done. The Suslenkov fight was a picture perfect illustration, if there ever was one, of a fighters heart leaving their body. Joyce is an intelligent man and I'm sure he can find another fulfilling path in life, but if he continues to fight then his body and mind will not recover from the further inevitable damage it will absorb, and for a good man like Joyce this would be very sad to see.

I’ve always liked Joe and totally agree with what you’ve said. Only thing is I think it’s too late already. I’m watching the talksport segment with Joe at the moment and it’s a hard watch. His brain isn’t working properly and he’s still overweight. It needs to stop.
Even as a fan I don’t think I’d watch another of his fights.

Plenty of fighters have finished fights with broken jaw. Ali fought Norton with a broken jaw for most of the fight. In 2023, Bam had his jaw broken in the 6th round against Gonzalez, continued on for the next 6 with it and won a decision.

Joyce of 2022/2023 would've kept going. Especially because that fight was winnable for him at the point he quit.

I understand he can make a significant amount of money paid to do what he’s still somewhat competent at relative to anything else he could do, but there comes a point with being 40 and on a clear downward trajectory where it’s like that’s enough now Joe. He isn’t going to go on and challenge for anything or pull rabbits out of the hat, the division has opened but he is nowhere near the opportunities.

This can go one of two ways, he could stick to fighting low to mid tier guys and win and make money, or he could do the same thing and work his way into a title shot based on his name, which is also something that’s not hard to do in this sport. I don’t see him beating anyone with a belt, but he can easily beat low to mid tier guys and make a pretty penny off of it if that’s what he really wants to do.
