Youre losing track of what were discussing here.

The discussion isnt if Moses is genuinely special or not. The discussion wasnt if he was all hype or not. Thats completely irrelevant and besides the point.

The discussion is, was it better for boxing for him to have been good enough to beat Filip, and continue on gaining hype, popularity, and setting up some big matches down the stretch, and continue putting on exciting matchups while continuing to garner attention for boxing.
or was it better for boxing that Filip won.

    The answer is quite obvious.

I can tell you the one with emotions here is not me man lol, I dont give a damn about this subject.. I prefer Moses to Filip but Im hardly a big Moses fan.

You seem like the emotional one here, you are clearly objectively biased here (which I think youd admit), youre arguing against objective data, your misreading of me (thinking im emotional when im not at all, and comparing this to the usyk match for me which they are night and day to me) and your misfollowing what were discussing and the irrelevancy of Moses actual ability, has me wondering whats going on in this discussion lol.

its ok, its not that big a deal.

You think Filip winning is better for the sport of boxing than Moses staying undefeated and going on to bigger things.

    We agree to disagree lol.

Young Tyson could not knock out crack head mitch Green and went the distance with james tillis in a competitive fight in his 20th pro fight. They would have never matched a 16 fight Tyson with someone like Hrgovic in the first place.

Doesn't matter. He's a sitting duck. He's slow and static. Early KO for Mike.

No I didn't lose track, like I said.. I just don't think anything of value has been lost. Just Brit over hypers overhyping again. The only real impact it'll have for the sport is a Frank Warren cash cow got derailed and his next match might not be a sell out. But in terms of the sport as a whole. Filip might not be a massive draw, but Moses isn't much better. I highly doubt his void of a personality would've sold well here either. They're both planks of wood. But fine, agree to disagree.:D

There where 4 rounds left. There's bad pacing and there's that. Who's to say he's capable of going 12 without gassing, he couldn't cope with the pressure either in the 9th, it wasn't just exaustion.

Joe Louis got KTFO early in his career. Learned from that loss and the rest is history.

I'm not saying Itauma is another Louis, just that he's a young, gifted boxer who can learn and move on IF he has support and a good mental state of mind.

I was actually hoping this loss would happen because what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. He has time, he can still rise up.

    I agree.

I think I went to far earlier in assuming he can go 12 even if he adjusts his style. He was very badly gassed for it only being round 9.

If it was the 11th or 12th and he gasses like that, its easy to say some minor adjustments can get him to the end, endurance wise.

Being completely spent in the 9th round, without even entering the championship rounds, its not a given that he can adjust for that.

Sure anything could happen, but it's far more likely he doesn't since he hasn't proven much at world level.

More likely a David Price than a Joe Lewis

This talk of Moses winning being good for boxing is all pointless. He wouldn’t survive any of these guys .

That was a bad bad hype job.

Having not seen the fight this doeant sound like the worst loss. Sure he was hyped and this is going to be bad press but it sounds like he won every round and gassed. Its not like he took major punishment or was knocked out brutally.

I guess the next step is whether or not he learns from it and whether or not he let's this setback derail him.

I was a big klitschko fan and he did the same thing vs Ross purity at a similar age. This could be a blip on a great career or the sign of more to come
