Why doesn't Wlad have a spot on most people's Top 10 ATG HW lists?

HW ruled for a decade. He didn’t have charisma, or what was the deal?

He's my tenth but I think a lot of it is people don't like the part of the time when the clear second best was his brother and they agreed not to fight. I don't put a lot of stock into it, on account of it being mutually agreed upon, not ducking the next best guy, and that most of their mutual best opponents were actually Wlad's, and that Wlad was still dominating the division for years while Vitali was not fighting at all. So, while it's not my issue, I do think the idea of a shared rule hurts his ranking for a lot of other posters, as well as being generally underwhelmed by the heavyweights that were there. I think well enough of Chagaev, Ibragimov, Byrd, Haye and some others that the quality level doesn't keep him out of my top ten.

    ... he does?

#5 here. Can be argued higher.

I could see him being tenth at least. Holyfield could nick him though.. old Holyfield extended prime (mentally) Lewis.

    Top 10, 25 or a 100 even...

they are near impossible to truly place a listed order to greatness, a continuous rolling reel of placing one in and one out. Only to then have to recognize, oh wait a minute that fighter really isn't so great i.e a Fury.

and of course the latest quick hope to enter into such honours, only to be even quicker removed, or temporary shelved, Itauma.

so as I always maintain, its easier and more honest to look at all the great champions, contenders and top noted fighters, with little between then generally speaking, allowing of course for the SRR's type exceptions, to all be listed 'among' the greatest fighters in history, which of course is not only the truth but more complimentary to the History and the Fighters...

and Itauma, 'may' still find himself 'among' them, IF he recovers well enough and is given the chance at honest fights to prove or do so... then again he 'might' not - "you see".

You haven't seen the common criticisms for years on end?

Wladimir Klitschko is somewhere between 6 and 10. He's clearly in the top ten, but not in the top 5 due to some bad losses.

Disagree. I have him at 4. He was HW champ in the modern era for almost 10 years straight! Additionally, he was the #1 contender for 2 years while LL was going after easier fights. There's a case for him to be the HW champ during that period since he had his belt (WBO) longer than all of the other belt holders / champs at the time.

This is the highest ranking of Wlad I've ever heard. Can I know your Top 10 ATG HW? I'm curious.

He has been ranked 3rd and 4th on occasion. Top 2 is obviously quite rare of course.

Wlad appeared on the 18 out of 32 Top 10 lists lately, so it's not true.
