The Itauma fans on this board are ridiculous.. the copage & damage control is off the charts here.. ya'll bought into the ridiculous Brit media hype yet again..

Itauma is talented yes but he was unproven against anyone with a pulse.. the kid got old manned there are no excuses for his loss.. he threw the kitchen sink & it broke him.. Hrgovic broke him.. let that sink in.. he was exhausted because hrgovic' durability & inability to wilt was insurmountable for him.. & it was a legit KO too.. because he landed a brutal right hand as Itauma was on the ropes that absolutely scrambled his senses..

So who cares if he supposedly won every round.. all that matters in 100m sprint is the finish line not who was winning 10 feet before it.. just cope & stop embarrassing yourselves further.

My NHL team was looking great after the 2nd period. Before they could no longer continue and were behind a quarter of the way into the last period umable to walk. If only the game went 2 periods we would have won. But we didn't. We were also about to get destroyed in the number of goals we conceded.

Yeah. Great logic Itauma fans. Not being able to fight losing by being gassed and about to get knocked out not in round 12. But in round 9.

I've had a very stressful last few months personally and haven't been nearly as active, so there's no one post where I lay out why Hrgovic will win like I usually do. But I pieced together several different posts laying out why I picked Hrgovic.

Just saw an edit of the fight with such fitting audio.

Was highlight with the audio of bane

"You fight like a younger man, with nothing held back.... admirable, but mistaken."

As Moses is firing home run bombs...

Then Filip coming on... Moses fading...

    Ends with,

"I was wondering what would break first,

    (Moses getting pummeled in video)

    your spirit,
    or your body..."

The fans don't know any better and will never listen to reason and the money men only see $ signs. Everyone bangs on about how great Moses looks in the ring. He's so fast! He's so fluid! He throws all these combos! My response is, who cares? He's utterly deficient in all the things that make up a real championship level boxer. Conditioning, pacing, emotional stability, all the myriad technical skills you need like cutting off the ring, clinching, how to get a breather, how to adapt when your game plan isn't working, etc. He doesn't know any of that stuff because he's never had to.

After he knocked out that big useless lump McKean in a round and I saw a bunch of folks creaming their pants over him, I decided to go back and watch all his pro fights. Early on his people matched him up with two semi-legit foreigners. Dobvyshenko and Espinola. These guys don't even really rise to the level of unheralded journeymen, but they clearly had some experience and weren't just pulled in off the street. Durable guys, both of them, but utterly deficient everywhere else. Moses couldn't do a thing with either one. He bombed away every round and just couldn't shift these guys. You could see Itauma in there getting visibly frustrated that he couldn't get rid of them. Against Espinola he broke out in a flop sweat and started leaning all over the man because he was tired from swinging and getting nowhere. Both of those were six round fights. That was three years ago and Moses hasn't changed a bit. He's still doing the exact same things and still having the exact same problems.

Personally, I think he has serious attitude issues and isn't doing what he needs to to improve and is just relying on his size and athleticism. However, it's beyond obvious he's not being helped by the people around him. How is it in three years no one has taught/forced this kid to chill the F out and just box? How in the blue hell do you ok a game plan that involves trying to knock out Flip Hrgovic? This man took punches off Zhang and went nowhere. He took punches off Dubois PLUS a zillion brutal headbutts and never even got wobbled. But you're going to knock him out? Are you serious, Clark? The entire game plan should have been to jab Hergy's face off with a few solid lefts thrown in, move around, and out-point him. Instead, Fraudster Davison watched his guy go out there and throw nothing but 100% speed/effort power shots up until he had to be stretchered out of the arena.

Obviously he has a lot of time since he's only 21 and people will be invested in seeing him make a comeback, but I have much less confidence that he turns out to be an all-timer. I wasn't sold on him before and I'm less sold on him now. His gas tank issues are serious and not an easy fix, especially since his entire fighting style is tied up in pushing a pace he can't sustain. So he's got to completely rework himself. Can you turn Usain Bolt into an elite distance runner? I don't know if it's possible. Furthermore, he just doesn't strike me as the thoughtful, ultra committed type who could really buckle down and make it happen. Finally, unless he gets away from Boxercise Ben he's cooked anyway. He's learning nothing there and they've already shown they can't/won't fix his issues. Wlad had the same problems and was able to turn his career around to become an ATG. However, he had Stewart to help him do it. This kid doesn't even have the Temu version of Stewart. So, I could definitely see him snagging a belt at some point. That's not all that hard to do. If Bermane Stiverne and Charles "Walking the Earth Like a God!" Martin can become HW champs, Itauma certainly can. But becoming the dominant HW of the post-Usyk era who reigns for years and puts himself in the convo with the best to ever do it? Yeah, that's gonna be a tough road to hoe.

Kinda poetic how it worked out. Hrgovic sat around for a long time as mandatory. Never really got his shot. Got thrown in with Dubois in a fight he was clearly meant to lose. Frank Warren's ref made sure to ignore all of Dubois' headbutts and the corrupt BBBoC made sure to lie and say it was punches that opened the cuts so the fight wouldn't go to the cards when it was stopped. Almost retired but decided he couldn't go out like a punk because of his daughter. Joyce, Adeleye, Allen, and then right back to fighting for the IBF belt he originally got stonewalled on. In yet another fight he was meant to lose. Against another Frank Warren backed wonder kid. Now he's the 1st Croatian HW champ in history.

Sometimes, the things fighters say and do in the leadup matters. I think Hrgovic's old man act of giving Ituama zero respect seriously pissed Ituama off and that Ituama really, really wanted a KO.

Stupid fighting though. Ituama should have taken rounds 8-9 completely off. Then for rounds 10-12, pulled about 50% of the steam off all his shots. He'd have cruised to an easy victory.

Re. One of the fights on the undercard. Disgusting what they did to Gorgeous Guido. A scandalous robbery and shockingly biased commentary.

Guido looked like crap but Jolly can't fight. He seems like a nice guy but he's just a big athletic lump who spends 50% of his time bouncing up and down like he's trying to his best Ali impersonation, 40% of it holding and spoiling, and the other 10% throwing sloppy slow punches.

That ref/judge was atrocious. She should've deducted points from Jolly for holding and learn how to score fights correctly because Guido was landing damn near all the clean effective punches

And I thought they stopped that crap over here with referees being the sole judge? Should be 3 judges working every fight

After all of this, we have to admit that this was not only the most shocking results of the year, but also one of the best heavyweight fights we've seen in a years. While Dubois vs Wardly was an exciting slugfest, this fight was much more intriguing and exciting.

a massive thank you to frank warren and queensberry for paying frank sanchez step aside money and turning this into an IBF title fight..
i said before the fight that hrgovic was goinf to take itauma to a dark pace and was ridiculed wherever i predicted the fight..
about 98% of people online were saying that itauma is gonna smoke him and splatter him..
i would've been nice to have been a fly on the wall in the hrgovic camp knowing that it was going to be for a title fight.
the whole boxing world is going into meltdown about the result..
how i got ridiculed with my prediction, it's been so satisfying listening to everyone's post-fight comments about where did it go wrong for itauma..
i don't think the boxing world has seen anything like this, yes there have been shocks and upsets, but man!!..
    I LOVE IT!!!!
there's a hell of a lot of people around the world with egg on their faces
one person that has been quiet, and i know he was an itauma fan is Turki...
    Turki !!!! where are you!!!
Turki !!!! come out to play

This is hilarious. Two days later the boxing world is in melt down. Itauma fans are in melt down..

    " It's Coming home "

They'll never learn. They should have started Singing Wonderwall after every round during the fight. Get out their fake world cup trophy. It's not coming home. Again. It's coming to Croatia.
