So, could Hrgovic win the Rumble if we swap him in for Ali?

Consider what he did to Ituama was essentially the same thing. He did it center ring and not from the ropes, but same strategy. Gave away rounds while goading the guy to completely punch himself out. Once the guy was dead on his feet and had zero energy left, pounced and got it done.

Hell, even all the pre-fight stuff, where he was saying Ituama would be working at a McDonalds if he lived in Croatia, that he only got opportunities because he was British, talking up his own chin — it was all to get Ituama riled up, wanting to get in there and knock his head off.

It wasn’t some on the fly plan for him. This was his plan the entire time.

What say you guys? Saturday night kind of makes me think he could do it.

Hrgovic is getting a hell of a lot of attention here in classic.
He's a long way to go before we can start lining him up against ATGs or very good champs/contenders.

I think it's possible. Any fighter than comes into the fight with a lot of nervous energy and blows it without effect is going to have problems.

Probably. Despite not being a better fighter than George or Ali he has the right attributes to where he could end up being a very difficult fight for George at any stage. If Big George can't do enough damage to stop him in the early rounds then he likely punches himself out and gets beaten down by the bigger Hrgovic. So either Foreman just overwhelms him like with Chuvalo, or he wastes tons of energy trying to get him out of there and is stopped like in the rumble. Hrgovic I think is a better fighter than Chuvalo and would be a more unique opponent in terms of style and skill for George so I could absolutely see him surviving the early onslaught to pull out a rumble type victory.

i dont know. moses has fast sharp punching power and he does damage but there is a different level of clubbing blunt trauma. you can take a lot of snap out of the shots of guys like moses by rolling with them, dudes like george foreman and zhilei zhang will hurt you with glancing punches

I don't know but if Usyk wants to remain a fantasy head to head monster he should retire before his record gets nicked up.

Surely it’s fair to match him against champions who gassed out the same way Itauma did.

Foreman, easy. The Foreman jab busts up his inexperienced opponent making way for a right hand that ends the fight. Foreman by KO in 2-3 rounds.

My point exactly. I think Hrgovic has the durability to rope-a-dope Foreman.
