Now let's be honest. So many experts. Who can show that they picked for Hrgovic?

Fair enough. I am not seeking any validation other than I told the world that Itauma is not what they made him out to be, and that if it went past round six Hrgovic would win.

I didn't make a selection here BUT I did raise doubts about Itauma in every post I made pre-fight.

The lack of predictions for Hrgovic was because he only had one way to win.

The better commentators did consider the possibility that Itauma would punch himself out, then get rolled over in the late rounds.

But the Franklin fight was meant to be the learning fight to prevent that. You would also expect an experienced trainer like Ben Davison would have covered that off, and made sure Itauma paced himself.

It was a fight where Itauma fought the only strategy that could result him losing, and did it all in. Suicidal.

You can hear after the 3rd round, Abel Sanchez telling Hrgovic to wait for him to punch himself out but just be a bit more active.

I didn't actually pick Hrgo, but I laid out reasons why I thought that IF he came in focussed, at a good weight and with a good gameplan designed to drag Moses into deep waters, then we'd have a doozy, and I'd favour Hrgo the longer the fight went on.

But for me due to his past tendencies, I had just as much doubts on whether Filip could do all that and execute as I did on Moses chin, gas-tank and lack of experience.

So I was a big fence-sitter and didn't really pick either and just wanted to see a great fight!

Watching live I scored rounds 3, 5 and 6 to Hrgovic but know there were plenty that didn't see it the same
Itauma was looking the more flash and landing cleaner at times
I did note on the rbr, after the 6th round that Itaumas hands were dropping

Yeah, I think so! It's a pity he didn't get a chance to see it. While there's no confirmation that he's passed, te last time he checked in was a few years ago and he had cancer.:ohno

I was wrong I didn't think Hrgovic had too much left after some of the brutal fights he has been in over the years.
I thought it was a calculated risk from Itauma's team. I did not think Itauma was the second coming though like his fan boys did I thought all the talk of him beating Usyk or Fury was rubbish. I am happy for Hrgovic he is one of the good guys of the sport I also think that this loss is the best thing for Itauma it was a reality check and if he truly is special he will learn from this and comeback stronger.
