I've posted this before but given the news, I think that it's appropriate to post it again. My Dad, his Dad ( my grandpa ) and my Dad's best mate, attended the Tony Mundine v Garry Summerhays fight in Melbourne. They were sitting in front of a large group of aboriginals. Mundine punched the **** outta Summerhays all night but late in the fight, Summerhays torched Mundine for a 10 count. My Grandpa stood up and applauded Summerhays. My Dad in fear said to my pop " sit down for Christ's sake "!

 

I wonder if that’s him in the top left around the 1.23 mark?

The word I am hearing is that Paul Gallen has accepted an offer to come out of retirement and fight big Nelson.

 

You were spot on mate. Absolute insane effort from Ollie, he’s never fought at that weight ever. Made weigh and put a massive effort in. Heart of a warrior. Needs more exposure. Way too soon this was for him

 

RIP Tony Mundine. I talked with some old pros years ago who used to spar with him in the late 60s, early 70s who said he was a marvellous fighter & one of the best they had sparred with.

 

They obviously figured out Nas won’t be a serious contender, so might aswell make some quick dough out of him.

I watched 100% footy last night and Gal attempted the Sydney Marathon over the weekend. So he still trains pretty often.

I think it’s a stupid fight and Gal doesn’t need the money or the headache.

 

I think Gal just genuinely enjoys it and probably thinks I'm training anyway and I am gonna make a few hundred K.
You are right they know Nas will likely lose to the first real boxer he fights and there is a pretty good chance that old Gal will beat him.

 

Not a fan of the Gallen fight. He's too old. This isn't 2021.

 

Just secured a VIP Package for 7k a table of 10 Ringside at the Sir Jackson England vs Sultan Zaurbek fight at Surfers Paradise. I'll be pulling up in my private Yacht two days before so I get to the weigh ins. My past boxing team mates will be out in full force supporting the Penrith Product. I'm going to wager $5000 on England to win h2h. Rumour is when he wins a world title he's going to do the moon walk in the ring.

 

Just saw Tim Tszyu taking the **** out of Mayweathers pad work on YouTube. " Tim Tszyu roasts Mayweather " is the title. Hilarious. Mayweathers pad work is absolute ****. It's OK for rhythm and flow but it's so ridiculous. The pad holder is doing all the work for him. Especially now he can't extend his punches like he used to.

I wish I could say it was, mate . It could be, he's the only one I noticed standing and applauding and he seems to turn his head as if somebody is telling him to sit back down! He looks to have the right body type. My Pop ( grandad) was a fit skinny dude, who had been more solid in his younger days. Good get mate, it could possibly be. My Uncle had a classic Mundine story aswell when he fought Rodriguez, the fight was over before he took his seat! Mundine Sr was an enigma.

 

Brubaker vs Hussein tonight. I hope Brubaker wins. He said it could be his last fight. It was supposed to be. So was the last fight. Even if he cops a battering it still might not be enough to deter him. A year, two years. Fighters just can't retire. I've gone off Hussein he should have pushed on 3 years ago when he had that great fight and win vs Mazoudier. He's not going anywhere. Regardless what happens. He had the talent but I don't know what happened. Blowing out to a 103kg when you fight at 69 or whatever is ****ing idiocy. Good luck when he retires he'll become a heavyweight again.

 

Hussein won. According to ausboxing instagram. Spewing. But Brubaker was finished in 2019 after Tszyu beat him. On another note good to see that flog Lt Dan Hennessy absent of late.
