My biggest concern with Moses is he doesn't seem to actually love boxing

It isn't a good look. Although most people don't like their jobs. Even Sugar Ray Robinson once said he didn't like boxing.

 

All of a sudden Itauma has become the worst boxer ever, the whole forum is busy with having a lynching party, lol.

 

There are easier ways to make a living.

But if a boxer is world-class, the huge paydays are worth the pain. I imagine Itauma was well-paid for his fight with Hrgovic.

And you could argue that there were much better ways to make money in boxing if you have big power - avoid fighters with top quality jaws as long as humanly possible, for starters (aka, the Wilder method).... Which makes the Hrgovic fight an odd choice, even if Hrgovic is pretty beatable if you're any good on the cards.

And Itauma can still make plenty by getting back up and fighting guys who he can knock out... And there will be plenty of those.

If he doesn't completely love the sport, he doesn't necessarily need to take the biggest challenges and prove to himself (or anyone else) that he can stop absolutely everyone and that he deserves to be considered an ATG... He just needs to entertain - and he can do that just fine.

 

Y'all got to stop with this vibes stuff. Especially after one competitive loss to one of the best in the world. Focus on the boxing results. Look at all the Jared Anderson "his hearts not in it". How tf you know where someone's heart is or isn't? This is like some women astrology nonsense.

Btw you are respected poster and this really isn't about you it's more about this kind of sentiment in general.

 

Jared Anderson as a 23 year old said multiple times he wanted to retire before he was 28 years old. Then he started crying his eyes out complaining about his boxing life style just before he fought Charles Martin of all people. Now he looked like dog**** in his last fight against an awful opponent and his career is basically over. Not astrology, on the money.

 

A bunch of 20 something pro athletes say they want to retire by 30. Most don't. It's a common sentiment for someone that age to have. Younger people think a few years is more time than it is because you perceive time based on what % it is of your life.

 

We're not talking about "athletes" though we're talking about Jared. You said how do we know his heart isn't in it and that's the evidence. He on multiple occasions spoke about how he wanted to retire at 26/27 and was so stressed by his lifestyle that it brought him to tears. Now his career looks like it's done at 26.
