Emanuel Navarrete vs O'Shaquie Foster is set for October 24th

Navarette is going to lose to our Aussie lad Mr England. If he gets past Foster.

 

Not gonna lie, I am rarely ever exited for fights at 130.
Navarette in back to back unifications is badass, and Foster really is a rare breed himself: unafraid of challenges and constantly seeking them out.

Loma is going to be undisputed at 130 in 2027.

 

Foster is a real throwback fighter, robbed against Conceicao, then climbed right back in there and beat him again, moved up to lightweight and beat Fulton, then moved back down to beat Ray Ford and is now fighting Navarrete in a 3-belt unification. If he wins this one, he's got a good case for scraping into the top 10 P4P.

 

Navarrete slaughters him.

Foster has nothing to keep Navarrete off.

Buuuuul****ing****! It was a close fight and Conceicao won it fair and square. The biased commentary sold a fight that did not happen, and the American media ran wild with it. I cant recall the last time the boxing media in general rallied against a supposed robbery like that, it was insane.

Then they robbed Conceicao blind in the rematch, because the narrative had already been set. It was one of boxings worst moments, and nobody gave a **** about it.
Foster lost a close fight, cried robbery, was given a mandated rematch he did not deserve, and then got his title back via highway robbery.

Conceicao should never have moved to the US, they constantly robbed his ass. And while I do like Foster, and appreciate him for who he is, I cant wait for Navarrete to mangle his ass.

Edit: And Foster did not move up to Lightweight to fight Fulton, Fulton was the one moving up to 130 and he missed weight! Then the WBC put a BS interim Lightweight title on the line even tho Foster weighed in at 130 and Fulton at 132; and neither man had fought at 135 beforehand.
Foster has been at 130 since 2018.

 

Should be interesting. I have no idea how a fight between an unorthodox vs slick guy plays out.

 

The second fight was closer than the first one, but I'm not sure how anyone had Conceicao winning that first one; he got outlanded in 10 of the 12 rounds. I might be biased against Robson because I hate watching him, to be honest; he's too crude, but I don't think I give him more than 3 rounds after watching it back again. The second one was closer, but he still deserved to win it. I think Robson was robbed even more against Navarette. I'm looking forward to this fight, but I really don't know who to pick. I wouldn't be surprised either way if Foster wins on points or Navarette gets to him.

If Foster was named Olan Gurtenov and came from some Eastern European dump, you would be crying robbery too. The second fight was just a formality to right the wrong of that robbery. Who gives a **** if Conceicao narrowly won the second fight when the first one was stolen?

 

No, he would have been treated equally to Conceicao in that case.
The first one was not stolen, it was a close fight and Conceicao won it fair and square. PS. both fights were SD, so in which fight did they try rob one of the fighters? By you logic/view, that is.

Genuinely, how many times can you say an Eastern-European robbed someone in the US or Britain? Because from the top of my head I can name at least 20 in reverse, with ease.

 

The way you can score that fight for Conceicao is if you hate Top Rank commentary, which I hate too. But I'm not going to delude myself into thinking Conceição won that first fight.

Maybe if I drove a Wartburg 353, ate weird fermented fish, and lived in a concrete block with no AC, I could automatically give rounds to any African, Eastern European, Central Asian, or South American when they're facing a boring American fighter.

And I know robberies happen in America, but this fight wasn't one of them.
