Looks like his punch resistance is declining with age.

It's losing the weight. Terrible for the heart, liver, muscles and chin.

If you watch the replay one of the shots the guy nailed him with was an absolute bomb, he should have been knocked out cold just by that single shot alone. Knyba isn't the most devastating puncher but when a guy is hurt and you hit him with a lot of shots including that one as a heavyweight you can't do anything but commend Ruiz's chin lol.

Forman is exactly what I am talking about. He got down to the 230s for Qawi, had an unexpectedly tough fight, and never tried to get that low again.

YES 235 lbs. was too low for him in his comeback.
Ironically that might have been best for young, *not* dehydrated Foreman.
But that just shows that the next benefit of being close to average HW body fat was outweighed by the disadvantages.
Not that weight loss in general is bad or must drain you.

If done gradually with proper nutrition.
Foreman was around 325(!) before he came back.
He needed to lose weight & did, very effectively.

Naw. It is terrible for you, regardless. Sharp weight gains and losses are just all bad.

Only problem is you wrote *weight loss* is bad for you.
    Not the speed of it.
And I keep saying & showing it is not-& very necessary & good-if not done too quickly.

It seems you meant not losing weight too quickly all along.
    On that we can agree.

Some do it better than others, i suspect someone always fat has a harder time adjusting.

Actually what I said is "losing the weight." Most fans know that Andy Ruiz is was morbidly obese.

This should be shocking to absolutely no one, he almost got flat lined by the ghost of Arreola, then was hurt several times by Grandpa Ortiz and Big Baby who's twice as fat as he is. The writing has been on the wall for quite some time. Then add in a 25 month layoff and the flabby Ozempic body, he's damned lucky he didn't have to be scraped off the mat with a forklift tonight.

Ruiz got dropped by a shot Chris Arreola and hasn't fought many punchers besides joshua who also dropped him. He has a decent chin but it was always overblown

 losing fat has the opposite effect, actually. And at 254lbs he is still obese.
