And he scored Joshua-Usyk II for Joshua.

Even Eddie Hearn said after the fight that Usyk won.

Feldman had the majority opinion so weird to single him out.

Also judge is being accused of corruption for(let me get this right)......getting paid off by pro AJ forces in favor of Ruiz. And didn't even score the fight for Ruiz?

Judges are misunderstood and generally underrated.

Because he's had multiple absurd scorecards during the past few years, always favoring the promoter's boxer.

Nearly everybody who watched the fight thought Feldman's card was terrible, nearly everybody here, as well as many boxing writers (Fischer, Donovan, Coppinger, etc.).

Are you new to boxing? You seem very limited in your understanding of the sport, compared to most of the posters here.
What would have happened to him if he had scored it for Ruiz? He would risk losing his career.

A smart crook only does what he can get away with.

Joshua gave Usyk a good fight he was the clear loser but that's nothing compared to the 114-113 we saw last night.

True. The 114-113 cards last night were more absurd.

If I was Knyba I'd be grabbing the mic and doing a Larry Merchant level meltdown yelling to Feldman 'If you were fifty years younger I'd kick your ***!' If he didn't batter Andy in that round they would have robbed him of the win which has probably earned him hundreds of thousands at minimum in future money off the recognition alone.

It's wild people don't understand this.

Here is how a judge cooks his card and covers his ass at the same time. It's really easy.

You make sure to give a lot of the early rounds to the A-side guy the promoter has paid you handsomely to support. These rounds are usually not all that action packed anyway which makes your job easier. So unless the A-side guy is just absolutely getting taken to school and visibly beat up, you make sure the majority of the first 4-5 rounds go to him. This builds you a nice little lead on your card. In baseball terms, you're now ahead of the count.

Now you can play around a bit. If the B-side has a really strong round you can give 'em that one. Makes your card look more legitimate to actually give a few clear rounds correctly. Still, you want to keep the A-side guy ahead. Why? Because you don't know how the end of a fight is gonna turn out. A drastic shift might have you scrambling and your corrupt card being obviously bent. This is what happened to Feldman in the AJ/Usyk rematch. He gave AJ FIVE OF THE FIRST SIX ROUNDS! Nice lead, right? Well, at that point he has to give some rounds to Usyk to balance the card up a bit. Can't be scoring it 119-109 for AJ, now can he? Problem is, Usyk weathered AJ's assault in the 9th and then stormed back like a demon to clearly win 10-12. Feldman got caught out. Now AJ/Usyk are tied going into the 12th on his card and has to give a clear as day Usyk 12th round to AJ to make sure AJ comes out the winner on his card.

You build up a lead for your guy early because if the fight turns out to be a whitewash for the underdog/B-side, then you're gonna need to pull the ripcord. Gotta swing it back hard towards the real winner. Of course, you've already scored a bunch of rounds for the A-sider so what should be a 117-111 ends up being a 114-113 or w/e. If Eddie Hearn has paid you mega bucks to ensure AJ beats Usyk and gets the titles back, well, you gotta just bite the bullet and score it for AJ. Then you take a year off of judging title fights until the heat dies down (Feldman actually did this). If it's some random match-up between two guys like Andy and Knyba, you ain't submitting a beyond obvious corrupt card that has Andy the winner. You just turn in some BS that is way too close and sorta kinda saves face for Ruiz and then you tell Eddie tough luck that Knyba ran away with it so the scheme didn't work.

You can see this exact strategy in Feldman and Morgan's cards from this Ruiz/Knyba fight. They both give 4 of the first six rounds to Ruiz despite that clearly being flat out fiction. Now they've got their cushion. So they can be flexible from there on out. If the fight can sorta be construed as close then they can shade enough rounds to Andy to give him the win. If he's getting murdered like what actually happened, well, you got enough space to bail out and start scoring it correctly for Knyba. And both guys scored the 12th for Andy. Why? To make the cards as close as possible w/o making it a draw or an Andy win. Saves face for Andy and proves to Eddie you did the best you could. Same reason all the judges gave Tyson Fury the 12th round against Usyk in their first fight. Usyk is gonna win anyway so this just makes the fight look more exciting, saves face for Fury, and helps sell a rematch.

No. I've been defending judges and saying they get too much flak for years.

"A smart crook only does what he can get away with."

And the "smart crook" "got away with" with what exactly? Scoring it for Knyba by only one round which was the majority opinion? Knyba won, Ruiz lost. What did he deliver?

It is true Feldman widely dissented with the boxrec scorers on 5 rounds. 4 for Ruiz but also 1 for Knyba. Feldman agreed with the boxrec fans on all the last 4 rounds.

Feldman dissented with the other 114-113 judge Kevin Morgan on 2 rounds. 1 for Ruiz but also 1 for Knyba.

The big issue is Feldman scored the first 6 rounds 4-2 for Ruiz. The boxrec fans only had 1 round close. But 5 of the first 6 rounds were scored for Ruiz by another judge.

Judges are opening themselves up to criticism in the early rounds because they are scoring without knowing the direction things are going. All the fan cards were done with the full picture in mind.

"You seem very limited in your understanding of the sport, compared to most of the posters here."

    Now that's just hurtful.
