You may be right. Fury does punch a little bit harder than Inoue.

Yeah then Eddie goes on YouTube to say that when they want to give AJ an incentive payment that it's going behind his back to do so. It's a blatant duck from Eddie and AJ just two idiots who clearly don't want the bout. UK location contract is not something that should stop this bout.

$$ talks. If Turki's so determined to do it in the States -- either because he thinks the Netflix deal will be better, or he thinks it'll be a way of tapping into the badly desired US market which has gone 99% MMA, or because he wants to cozy up to Dana because Dana's Trump's buddy, or all-of-the-above -- he can kick in the extra $$ to get Hearn/AJ (and I've yet to see evidence they're not in lockstep) to re-do the previously signed contract.

Hey, if they do it at the Garden, that's fine by me; I can walk there. Regardless, I just want to see this fight.

Cause they had it in the contract, that's why.

Eh that's just a rubbish excuse. Eddie doesn't want all the hands involved which comes witha US fight. Just being stubborn.

So does Fury tell his team to stand down for a UK fight to happen? And disappoint the money men?

No it's for Eddie and AJ to stand down clearly. Saying it's a UK fight in a contract is just pure excuses. Cop out. Especially given Eddie said about 6 weeks ago it could happen in the US and didn't complain...backtracking.

It's a legal nightmare to rearrange also I'd suspect which even if they agreed to a UK fight now it's too short notice. Easier to have a step in opponent. Too short notice for Usyk

It's not an excuse. If you sign the contract, you need to stick to it. It's on Sela and Turki for making this stupid move.

If the fight is off, Fury can have another Wach to stay in shape, lol. He's not getting the Usyk fight again after being embarrassed twice.

A deal is a deal. AJ/Eddie had a signed contract with Fury/whoever -- all blessed by Turki/Sela (otherwise there wouldn't have been anything to sign) for a fight stipulated to be in the UK.

And then Dana White noses in under the tent and suddenly Turki/Sela are insisting on a US venue with a promotional role for Dana (who starts dissing Eddie as being out-of-the-loop) and blaming everything on Netflix -- and not offering to incentivize AJ/Eddie to accept this changed deal?

Look, I'm no Eddie apologist; the guy can be a buffoon -- but a deal's a deal, and Turki (prodded by Dana) tried to change the deal. Eddie has a right to hold out for maximum take for his fighter under these proposed changed circustances.

And to say AJ is now "ducking" Fury when he already signed to fight him is not only illogical but farcical!

Turki needs to either kick in more $$ for AJ to lure him to the States or agree to Wembley like the original contract said.

    Exactly.

I'd happily never see Fat Furys muffin top squeezed into those awful tassled shorts.
    Let alone mental midget AJ.

He wasn't "embarrassed" by Usyk. He gave Usyk two very close fights, and Usyk himself admitted Fury gave him the toughest fights of his career. Usyk even said he'd consider a trilogy after Fury's fight with Wilder. https://boxingnewsonline.net/news/usyk-considers-one-fight-after-wilder/?utm_source=chatgpt.com

Embarrassed is what I'd call getting dropped twice in the first by an obscure cherry pick that blew up in your face.

First fight was close, second was not. Anyway, in embarrassing him, I meant how Fury was saying he will knock out gap tooth middleweight rabbit even after 12 pints, cause what he's gonna do to him, jib-jab him to death? Fury's mouth + Usyk embarrassed him. Further embarrassment comes from the fact that he remains delusional that he won them fights. Usyk broke Fury. Tyson got beat up by an older, smaller man and he can't live with it.

BTW. now Usyk claims Bellew gave him the hardest fight, lol.

Lets switch this around. AJ beats Makhmudov at Tottenham and calls Fury out. Fury sits there ringside quiet as a church mouse, then scurries off to fight 9th ranked Albanian Pringle in a tune up & almost gets KOd. Then when the fight is finally about to be made, and AJ’s side accepts a move from Ireland to the US in their side of the contract, Fury sits there cockblocking the fight asking for more money due to differences between sterling and USD.

Not a single soul in this scenario would call it anything over than a massive Fury duck.

Yet here we are with Eddie Hearn, who’s fleeced the british public for 10 years on PPV, staged 4 of AJ’s last 5 in saudi, and moved his tax residence to Monaco, claiming to be the oracle of british boxing. And the british public completely buy it.

This is Adolf Hitler levels of brainwashing ability.

I think both of you came off pretty good in this exchange. Sometimes, there isn't a hard right or wrong, so much as the truth unfolds. The firtst Fury-Usyk fight was legit among my favorites ever. Whereas I didn't think it was really as close as the cards said, it unfolded in such a way there was a point where it felt like Usyk had no answer and the fight was starting to slip away, so it wa a great fight with an exciting ebb and flow.

For me, the second was not so close as even the first, and I thought the wider decision was about right, BUT, it is not like Fury was getting blown out of the actual rounds. Fury would be winning them with the jab, and then Usyk would find his way inside and steal the round with good and exciting combinations. It wasn't to me a "close fight," but the rounds were close.

But yes, he humiliated himself with the trash talk. And it was a different kind of trash talk than he usually does. Since the day of "Usyk can suck my balls," long before it was signed, Fury was showing that he was a bit frightened and nervous.

As for Bellew...lol! Maybe if Usyk takes the Zuffa belt and fights on for another couple of years, we will see Bellew-Usyk II at heavy!

Last thought, no one wants to see Fury-Usyk III, BUT, one silver lining is that Fury wants in in November, so if you are a hardcore Usyk fan like me and just want him to have a couple more fights, he could do Fury in November, and if it went well, Wilder in May as planned. I am positive they are going to throw truckloads of money at him to fight Benevidez after that. That would, on the balance, not be terrible schedule, IF they got off that extra fight in November. I sure don't want to see him wait another year to fight Fury again. But an extra fight...

    https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_...sts-joshua-fight-challenges-usyk-trilogy-bout

"You got the decisions last time, fair play to you. Good luck to you, well, let's do it again. Let's run it back in November. The ball is now in your court, Oleksandr," Fury added. "Do you want to fight me this year, 2026, or are you calling quits? Let me know because I am now looking for a new opponent."

Quit acting like AJ or Fury are interchangeable people without any of their own personal history. Your analogy falls flat because you fail to realize this.

AJ did everything he could with his limited abilities, while Fury is an underachiever who talks as if he’s an ATG. Both are nothing particularly special in the grand scheme of things, but AJ’s actions throughout his career paint him as a guy who wants to leave the sport better than he found it. AJ doesn’t have a “Ngannou” performance. He has bad performances against Dubois, Ruiz, and Prenga, but those weren’t through a lack of training or care. They were because he faced a very good opponent, got caught and couldn’t recover due to his limitations, or experienced physical decline.

Fury has been his own worst enemy. He never faced a top contender/ champion after his return except Wilder, the most protected champion of all time, who was never great, just solid, and Usyk, because he was pinned into a corner. AJ tried to face Wilder, who he has never ducked once, and offered over $100 million to fight for undisputed. Yet now people say AJ was scared of fighting Wilder.

Do you want to know the truth? FURY WAS A CHERRY PICK. He wasn’t the favorite with the bookies, and he was ranked #7 in the world before facing Wilder. He also had two flat performances against Pianeta and Seferi before the fight. Wilder and Fury weren't the #1 and #2 boxers fighting each other. Fury just got lucky that the most protected fighter finally had a pick. A good fighter on accident. Fury should also not get any credit for facing Uysk; he was basically pinned to the corner, unable to duck. He would much rather face the Ngannou's of the world than anyone credible.

Now we have to hear the BS about AJ ducking Fury. Guess what? Both of them have ducked each other at different points in time. Neither party was 100% innocent all the time, and the roles were often reversed. But if I had to guess who is easier to negotiate with, it would be AJ. Fury was relatively liked by most boxing fans before the Chisora III, Ngannou, and Usyk debacles. Fury has lost all good will for a reason.

You mean the contract that Eddie wrote up himself that included stupid stipulations that Zuffa couldn't be involved? Show me this contract that has all parties signed, including Turki who's actually paying for the fight (and his contract is the only one that matters ). Otherwise this will get invalidated so fast in court if Eddie even tries to sue.

Brits are so adamant this should happen in the UK, we'll then Turki should just pull out his funding and let Hearn and Warren stage this fight. Let's see how far that goes. Heck, people like you can pitch in your paycheck to make the fight happen!
