All Eddie's asking for is that Turki/Sela abide by the deal they signed with him or present him a re-constituted deal that doesn't have him and his fighter leaving potential $$ on the table. How would you like it if someone changed a deal on you after you signed it? And then tried to justify that deal-change to you by saying "Well, it'll bring in more $$ this way"? Wouldn't you -- understandably -- say, "Well, then where's the extra $$ for me??" Just because Eddie's a loudmouth blowhard doesn't mean he's wrong in this case. He has every right to want to keep Dana from encroaching further on his business unless a suitably attractive deal can be presented to him. Turki screwed up. He should start again from scratch. And if that means it's a 2027 fight rather than a 2026 fight and no one's interested any longer in these two guys by then, Turki only has himself to blame.
In how many instances did Joshua cause problems when trying to reach an agreement with a potential opponent? Just how many? He took on all mandatory challengers (even the dangerous ones) and stepped into rematches as the "B-side" after suffering defeats. With Fury, the story is completely different. It ranges from deceiving Klitschko—causing trouble and ultimately blowing off the rematch contract—to the long, drawn-out avoidance of a fight with Whyte (the mandatory challenger), and finally the massive hurdles in finalizing the biggest possible fight against Usyk; the Ukrainian's camp had to go through hell just to get him to sign the contract and step into the ring... You’d have to be either a die-hard fanboy or a complete idiot to believe that Joshua and Hearn are the ones behind the current problems. The situation seems simple. A contract was signed under specific terms (a fight in the UK), but Fury decided to change them. This created new issues to discuss, yet Fury reverted to his usual spiel about fear, blaming the other side and accusing them of cowardice. He also started threatening to go down a different path. The guy is incorrigible. I don't think—and I don't believe—that Joshua is afraid of him. If AJ is in bad shape—say, if his chin is gone—this fight is still a massive payday for him. If he’s doing better than assumed, it’s also his best chance to climb back to the top. If anyone is playing games here, it’s 99% likely to be Fury—he’s notorious for it.

Your post here has nothing at all to do with what’s going on now. From what we can see, Fury accepted a move from Ireland to the US to fight Joshua. Hearn doesn’t want to work with Egghead & already delayed the fight this year, nearly destroying it completely with the Pringle tune up that nearly went wrong. Now he’s scuppered it further complaining of the venue change. He slyly pretends he’s doing it for the british fans but his track record shows this is lies. With all due respect, yanks like yourself dont have any idea what goes on the British Isles. Brit forum posters are far more accurate in these debates as they are fully aware of Hearn’s propagandist snake oil sales tactics
I'm curious how many times this fight has been announced and it fell through. It's like a running gag.
Can anyone here really hand on heart say they give a ****. These 2 only thinking about their bank accounts. You cannot blame them but why is everyone acting like this **** means anything? Not best of their era. Didn’t unify. Lineal Disputed. Beaten by the same guy twice over. Why don’t these 2 just **** off and retire or quietly carry on with their business?
Fury accepted the re-worked deal because he's flirting with Egghead; that's Fury: flirty and flighty. AJ by contrast is loyal to Hearn. That's to the credit of both guys, however you feel about them otherwise. Continuing with the "egg" references... Eddie's understandably not eager to allow the fox into the hen-house and make it even easier for Egghead to eat his lunch like Egghead's been working on doing for a couple years now. This deal gets done either of two ways: - Turki/Sela goes back to the deal they signed with Eddie (and, after all.... Fury did say he'd fight AJ anywhere .... didn't he...? ) or.... - Turki re-works the deal (including moving the fight to NYC or Vegas or wherever he and Egghead want it) and sweetens the pot for Eddie sufficiently for Eddie to swallow his pride and share the stage with Egghead. Like I said, Turki screwed up. You can call Eddie a snake all day ... but that doesn't change the fact that Turki screwed up....
Ridiculous Turki shouldn't have let anyone dictate where the fight was going to be in negotiations let alone two locations in England and Ireland get signed off Forget what was signed in 2020, that's absolutely irrelevant today
Totally agree. Where I get the snake allegation from is that rather than Hearn admit that the real reasons are as your comment says, he instead pretends to be the oracle of british boxing to manipulate british fight fans. And that then leads to the view that it’s Tyson Fury who’s scuppered the fight which is poppycock. I reinvoke my Adolf Hitler comparison here
The bodybuilder has one payday fight left in him and that's with Fury... There is no excuse for him other than it's a straight duck.
Fury isn't helping but it's not him holding anything up, he'll do what ever for money It's that dumb fool Turki His manager already said no
Aligned with you right up until that last line. Eddie (and for that matter all the US presidents who get compared to Hitler from the Right and the Left) is still about 6 million murders shy of that appellation...
Its not irrelevant Hearns full of garbage with this pride in the nation talk I get honoring a contract but Hearn is trying to make it out to be more than it is
