Any boxers you can think of when it comes to fighting at a relentless, nonstop pace throughout most of the fight? Who brought the most intensity and energy every time they fought with no signs of slowing down their punch output, aggression and pressure? Aaron Pryor is the first guy to come to mind. Guy was like an Energizer Bunny.
Fighting Harada was just unbelievable with his stamina and constant punches in bunches throughout the entire fight.
Armstrong just did not stop throwing, he didn't stop going at you He didn't cut the ring, stalk you or followed you, he marched. Best way i can describe Armstrong to someone who has never seen him fight is that he is an "Impending Doom".
It visibly jumps out at you with excellent/great swarmers like Frazier, Fenech, Armstrong, Harada etc. There's something impressive though about boxer types who were high volume stamina machines who gradually increased their output and wound up into the kick for home over the championship rounds like Yifter and Bekele in the last lap of a 10000m. Saldivar, Sanchez, Pedroza, Arguello, Buchanan, Marcel, Rudkin, Monzon, Saad, Monzon etc.
Per the literature, including his nick name, Harry Greb brought it 100%, round after round after round…..
It would be scary fighting the type of fighter up for discussion. You might hold a notable margin of skill over them but if they’re also incredibly durable, you simply couldn’t let up yourself or be caught napping. Anytime you stopped hitting them, rest assured, they’d be belting you back.
You just had me think of Johnny Tapia. A guy who fought with such intensity and volume when he's boxing or brawling.

It wasn’t exactly his usual, later style but the intensity that Nelson brought into his fight vs Sanchez was unreal. If he was just a tiny bit less great than he already was, Salvador, in a huge upset, may well have fallen victim to the heat/skills that an otherwise unknown Nelson brought to the table. Sanchez was always a highly skilled, cool, calm and patient customer and his performance vs the frenetic Nelson upheld those attributes to their greatest effect imo.
