That is the reality of it, riding on daddy's coat tails, while our best boxers stay frozen out by George the pig & DAZN.
C’mon mate Timmy puts in the effort he doesn’t Rest on his laurels. Also I saw him and Nikita having coffee together in Cronulla a couple of weeks ago. Timmy’s beef was with his management at the end of the day they are brothers.
Timmy dares to go where Dad didn't. Won a WBO belt. Slayed a Big Doodle. Looking to win a world title in a second weight division.
well, I’m glad people like you are not in charge. I’ve watched several of his last fights, he looks fine.
He hasn't fought anyone remotely close to his level since he turned 40, to be fair, but my point still stands. Lara is one of the few exceptions. For the greater good of the sport, and to protect fighters who do carry on forever and give themselves CTE, I think it'd be a good move. Lara is lucky because of his style and because 160 is appalling. But if we draw the line in the sand, I think it encourages better fights and forces fighters to make the best fights before their career window shuts, while also protecting them from the bulk of the damage they take once they hit 40 and slow down heavily.
This fight is only competitive because Lara is pretty old. He would almost certainly box Tim's ears off otherwise.
Not unlikely, but as over-rated as I think Tim can be, he’s quite the step up from the likes of Thomas Lamanna…(or Danny Garcia jumping up in weight for his last payday)
