What would the first six rounds look like?

First six rounds would be pretty level,Fergy - Muhammad circling the ring while Lennox chases him. Both men's left jabs being a predominant factor. Later on the latter tires and Muhammad builds up a lead and takes decision by around three points on all three cards.

I would expect Ali to win a close decision over 12 or 15. Whatever it’s scheduled for. His superior speed, jab, footwork, stamina and durability is what prevails. Lewis would be a very tough opponent though and Muhammad would have to be at his best to beat him.

That's how I see it, Stevie.
This would be a true test of Ali's chin as well.

Lewis has never really fought a much faster athletic Heavyweight with great movement.

Ali has never really fought an upper echelon Super Heavyweight.

If its 15 rounds I'd favour Ali I think Lewis's stamina which was solid for a big man but not amazing. Would struggle over the 15 round distance and Ali would take a close decision with Lewis fading in the last couple of rounds.

Over 12 rounds I think Lewis wins and Ali doesn't quite have enough rounds to tire the bigger man out.

I don't think the size of Lennox matters. Peak Ali was like trying to put smoke in a bottle. I see this fight as similar to the Williams one, and no, I'm not suggesting Cleve' is anywhere near Lennox's class, but that Ali had the reflexes, the engine, the accuracy to make even Lennox look like a lumbering oak tree. Over 12 or 15, Ali wins a lopsided decision for me.

Again, styles make fights and I can't think of many worse styles for Lewis than peak Ali.

I like the 1969 iteration of Muhammad Ali, the one we never got to see. By then he's a solid 217 pounds, but still light of feeet and quick of hands, with a solid clinch game for needed breaks, and tactical genius.

Ali wins a UD. That unique animal that is prime Ali would be too much for Lennox to deal with.

Ali probably by late TKO, Lennox could box, so could Ali, but Ali could fight when the time came.

If Ali came into the fight fully prepared and wary of Lewis, he would absolutely take Lewis to school. He would hit Lewis faster and more often than anyone else in his career ever did. He might even stop Lewis. Even a step below his best, Ali still finds a way to outpoint even the best version of Lennox. The speed would make all the difference.
