Weird choice but AJ is a weird guy

As far as I know AJ was seen in Bens gym this week. Unless there’s more to it I don’t this necessarily means Ben is his trainer.

 

Must enjoy getting hit full force on the chin; either that or Boxercise Ben is one of the greatest salesmen we have ever seen in the sport.

 

Is he officially only training with Davison from now on or is he just doing so because maybe team Usyk isn't currently in the UK?

Either way, i don't think this is necessarily a bad thing for Joshua at this stage. With each trainer he's had since leaving McCracken he's shown some improvement in certain aspects. Garcia improved his aggression and body punching, Derrick James improved his basic fundamentals and Davison improved his counterpunching and poise. The one exception here to be honest is Joshua under team Usyk. Maybe he just hasn't had enough opportunity to show what he's learned under them, but he looked the worst he's looked under them and showed no real improvement in any aspect. Davison might not be the best choice to go back to but I don't think him returning to *a* past trainer is a bad idea.

 

Switches trainer too much which I imagine creates a lot of confusion when it comes to ring time.

 

Probably only advantage is Ben knows where Fury is weak...which is not in places that AJ can exploit anyway

Fury chins him regardless....I bet AJ throws a Wilder afterwards and says Ben was mole

 

Not sure why anyone would go to Davidson after the Itauma / Hrgo fight - not exactly a great advert for a cornerman / trainer

 

The whole AJ in Usyk's camp was really cringe from the get-go, especially during the Prenga fight. But tbh this is a bit ungrateful towards the Usyk camp if it's true.

 

Even with the itauma situation aside he’s had some shockers, especially with the bigger guys

 

Joshua is a Glass Jawed fighter you can’t train a Chin.

 

Is it that he's just a yes man and let's his fighters do whatever they want.

I don't understand why so many are drawn to him.
