Stoppage was bs. Agreed. Benn has a lot of heart, he would've held on for a bit longer. maybe he could have survived the round and had stuck on a bit longer. These early stoppages are robbing the fans of great fights. All the best fights are when one side makes a big comeback after getting rocked, nowdays they don't allow that to happen.

Since when do fights get stopped on 3 missed punches? He did not stop the fight when punches were landing (not very hard) he stepped in after missed punches. That is a joke.

 

Antics aside, props to these boys for actually wanting to fight. Get em ducking divas out the sport.

 

Ryan is very fast very few have that gift no matter how many flaws he has Shakur and Haney will beat him with the outbox style. Benn is easy work

 

Stopped too early imo. Actually thought Benn was settling in not too bad as well.

Garcia skilled tho effortless with the left. Although why does the kid always seem high as a kite.

 

early stoppage but there was like half a round left, it was only round 2, and they’re welterweights. Ryan could have kept up that assault for the entire second half of the round (and would have). I doubt the end result would have been different.

Benn should have had the chance though. Early stoppage. I’m with you on that.

All things considered that was an atrocious performance from Benn. He came out aggressively against the most dangerous counterpuncher in the division and arguably the fasted hands in boxing.

I mean seriously did he delude himself into believing he was a killer? That was easily one of the worst ever British world title challenges in recent years. A dehydrated skeletal Bellew put a better performance in against Stevenson and that itself was a terrible performance.

 

Nah that's what I mean though. I think mentally he was in a bad place back then and I think he's sorted out some demons since then. He's in a good place now. I was very impressed by his form in the barrios fight, I knew that version of Garcia was going to turn up tonight and that Garcia obliterates Benn.

 

honestly it's Garcia's generation. Those kids are chronically online (probably like many of us) and so they have a glazed over ADHD look half the time.

 

I wouldn't be so sure teo can punch to and atleast he beat rolly and didn't get dropped like Ryan. Close fight either way imo.
