Is Ryan good or is Benn not world level.

Benn is an obnoxious,repulsive fraud ! Let’s be honest here,he has not even fought for a British Title but there he was up against Garcia in the bright lights of Las Vegas fighting for the WBC Belt. In truth he should have been on the Misfits card back in Newcastle, England where his brother Harley was also fighting. I honestly can’t think of any other British fighter who has had so much handed to him in his career because of who his father is !

 

Kell brook was trash. He should have been fighting in the states a LONG time ago before he was fed to Crawford.

 

Ryan has a bunch of raw talent but no drive or willingness to improve or train
Benn has drive but lacks raw talent

 

benn is just not a true contender at world level. garcias world level attributes quickly made that separation. garcia didnt need to be a great fighter to do what he did. he just needed a couple of great qualities.

he won he would not be staying at welterweight, so obviously not a happy Benny at the weight, he had an opportunity to fight for the welter title, he took it, lost convincingly but made multi millions doing it.

Garcia proved himself the much better fighter at the weight, so the plaudits and honours on the night rightly goes to him.

 

UFC has been a really good 'model' from a matchmaking point of view. The best have consistently fought the best and there are no 'gimme' fights. Unbeaten records are rare and not protected. From a fan perspective, UFC bills have been kicking boxing's arse for a long time now.

 

Benn was never good. I honestly don't see how anyone could've thought he would do well, especially after his last performance. The writing was on the wall stylistically. Honestly the best hype:talent ratio Hearn has ever got away with.

 

He's not a British hype job as I'm British and everyone knows he's absolutely shite, so don't go with that easy stereotype. You just don't know boxing as well as you think.

 

I think the most interesting question is if there ever was a fighter with less skills than benn who earned more money just with boxing fights?

 

I get that people hate Benn, but he beat the crap out of Chris Van Heerden and also beat aged versions of Eubank and Prograis. There are worse fighters out there.

 

If you look hard enough of course you'll find worse fighters

But bad fighters that have his profile and earnings?? Not so much
