    Instead of Sanders assuming.

    Fergy hasn’t specified.

    But it’s extremely relevant.

Yep loudon, it's a fair point.
For the sake of clarity, let's say Wlad doesn't meet Sanders and instead goes in to a Lewis fight.

I think that young Wlad was better than old Lewis and would knock him out.

... then again, I thought young Vitali was better than old Lewis and would knock him out, too.

I ain't exactly Quasimodo ova heeh.

It’s hard to be optimistic. I would definitely much rather see Corrie Sanders in Vitali's place.

First solid right hand by Lewis ends the fight. Wlad did not have his brothers whiskers.

Lewis wasn't the puncher Corrie Sanders was and even Sanders didn't end the fight with the first left hand he landed.

I watched Kitschko-Mercer recently: even the more agressive Wlad wasn't all that. He had to stop that. Anybody with some moxie would counter that stuff. Which Mercer didn't have at the age of forty-whatever. Lewis would have got that Mercer out much sooner, I believe.

I think Lewis beats him, too. I wouldn't rate either Klitschko above Lewis. Sorry, 90's is still the standard of recent times, then to now.

I think Lewis would’ve done something dirty like holding Wlad’s neck while uppercutting him. Wlad would need a polite German ref to have a chance.

Sure he would have resorted to that. He would have got away with it, too, like he always did in nearly every one of his fights. That's the way it goes in the high stakes. You got to hit him back on his thigh for that or rabbit punch him... I don't think Wlad would have done that, the gentleman.

I think Wlad beats THAT version of Lewis and I make him a slight favourite against any version. Lewis had a propensity for ill discipline in offence, kid liked a fight, and this would count against him big time with such a disciplined, powerful fighter as Wlad. 2 out of 3 to Wlad in a trilogy, none of them see the 12 rounds out...
