Rico also doesn’t have the size difference over Hrgovic. He’s heavier but doesn’t have a height/reach advantage.

I like this matchup. It shouldn’t happen because Rico hasn’t earned it, but it could be a great drag out war. Rico has had plenty of those in Glory.

 

Usyk was very effective at stopping AJ and Fury from using their size against him. He was very ineffective at that against Rico, who’d just use momentum to crash into Usyk then octopus him.

 

Usyk not being able to punch was probably his issue, too much amatuer faffing style. Hrgovic can't punch either, but he'll smash Rico to pieces.

 

Usyk doesn’t like a dirty rough fight. Hrgovic is basically the same size as Rico, eliminating the issue Usyk had there. And dirty and rough? Have at it, Hrgovic will be smashing Rico’s face with his forearm, rabbit punching, etc.

Rico could still win, but it won’t look anything like the Usyk fight.

 

Yeah, even if Rico was bigger, its a styles thing. But especially cause hes not bigger. Hrgovic will get tagged a few times possibly over a few rounds before sending Rico to his ass

 

Which to me implies that Rico has more ring IQ than most give him credit for
